Do the jekylls mature at the same rate as humans? Which of us a has the longer life expectancy?

So this gets a little complicated -- y'see, measuring time between different planets gets rather weird. Every planet takes a different amount of time to rotate once (day) or to rotate around their star(s) (year).

Due to how pervasively humans have spread their culture at this point in time (very far into the future from our perspective of 2024 CE), most places relate their system to Earth Days and Earth Years. (OOC explanation: this also makes it easiest for you and I to understand, haha)

The planet Jekylls inhabit, Nacl, has a rather specific nychthemeron (day/night cycle). They have two suns: Vice and Virtue. The way these three celestial bodies orbit each other ends up splitting their daytime into 3 distinct segments: in the first, the smaller, weaker Virtue is visible, before being subsumed by the brightness of Vice as it sets. After Vice sets, there is a short false night before Virtue makes another pass, then true night begins.

This whole cycle also takes approximately 55.2 Earth Hours. So their days are over twice as long as ours. On the other hand, their years are a mere 138 Earth Days (60 of their own days). They pass by rather quick!

A human might be surprised to learn this species averages ages well into their hundreds. But, their average lifespan of 132 of their own years actually maths out into only... 50 Earth Years!

So, humans beat out Jekylls in lifespan by quite a bit. Especially with technological advancements that can extend their lifespans well past the ~80 you and I enjoy today.

As for maturity, they grow at a speed close to twice as fast as humans. Their species goes through their horn-fusing at roughly 15 (in their own years, or 5.7 Earth Years). At this point, they're the equivalent maturity of a human aged 10-12.
