Dear Vector Prime, who was Maxitrek?
Dear Maxitrek Moonlighter,
Maxitrek was an ancient Transformer who lived in the city of Damaxus during Cybertron’s Golden Age. A fearsome but good-natured gladiator in the employ of the Overlord Sky Garry, Maxitrek made history when—after slaying his foe Goryu in the arena—he severed Goryu’s head and tossed it into a nearby waste receptacle in one easy motion, drawing great applause for his strength and finesse.
It was this act that led to the development of a primitive ball game; originally played using the severed heads of fallen gladiators, the sport gradually evolved into the sport modern Cybertronians call “basketrek”, named in honor of its originator.
