Tell us about your current project(s) – what’s it about, how’s progress, what do you love most about it?
Dead Hearts Are Everywhere (Rated M) is a modern Zutara AU based of the webcomic Bastard. Basically, it's about Ozai being a serial killer who's targeting Katara and Zuko's trying to stop him. I'm rereading the webcomic but thanks to Daily Pass on Webtoons I can only unlock one chapter per day and there's over 90 chapters total so it's slow going. But what I love most about writing this story is spinning the plot so it relates more to the ATLA characters more.
The Neglected Garden (Rated G) is a Zutara Borrowers AU based off of The Secret World of Arrietty. It's about Zuko discovering tiny people living in his uncle's cottage and pretty much goes from there. I'm almost done but caught writer's block on the last chapter 😭. I'm going to try to finish it before summer ends. This fic is pure self-indulgent because I love The Secret World of Arrietty and frankly the ATLA community needs more giant tiny stuff. (Seriously, it's been 15 years. Why is there such few content?) What I love most is the cottagecore vibes and painting the scenery.
Head Above Water (Rated T) is a Zutara Mermaid AU. Giant mermaid Katara saves Zuko from drowning while running away from home after the Agni Kai. It was originally a one shot but now I'm working on chapter 13. I love coming up with the mermaid lore and it's the fic I received my first fanart for by @mgtjo which you and view here and here.
The voice inside sings a different song (Earth) (Rated T) is the third installment of my series They have stolen the heart inside you; but this does not define you. This fic is basically a Zutara Book 2 AU with a couple of plot twists up ahead. The process is slow going and pretty much on hiatus, but I write a couple of sentences here and there when I can. My favorite part is laying down the foreshadowing for the ending.
