Should I? Shouldn’t I?
I’ve received a very interesting email about problems with the chit system and the 80th Alcoholics Anonymous International Convention. Unfortunately they started their email with the view that the problems with AA getting bad publicity are because: “My personal opinion is that the cause is that we do not practice the Traditions”. This is a little humiliating for me, as of course I don’t believe in practicing the Traditions myself. So rather than come across as a bath-shit crazy hypocrite, I decided to keep the letter to myself. How mad would I have seemed if I actually published it? Ahahahahhaa!
Cheers The Fellas (Friends of Alcoholics Anonymous) PS Our thanks to the AA member who emailed, but we’re not that deluded!

I don't know why, but I'm going to give myself Reichenbach feels tonight and rewatch S2Ep3 of Sherlock. Yea, I'm purposefully going to make my heart break all over again, and then later on suffer from all the feels. This fandom is bat-shit crazy.
On Rick Santorum's sexual inadequacy:
Santorum has never been to the sexual realm!
Tomb Raider: WTF
Really, guys? Rape?
You thought it would be a good idea to rape Lara Croft? Not just rape her, but make the player experience that? Really? Fuck you stupid game developers for making Tomb Raider something I don't want to play, for fear of being SEXUALLY ASSAULTED. I didn't think it was possible for you to ruin titties and puzzles, but apparently someone had a stroke when they were thinking up the concept for the new game.
Here's tip: just because the numbers say that high percentages of women experience unwanted sexual advances and assault, that doesn't mean we want that in our games. Watching/playing Lara Croft - the Indiana Jones of video games - get raped does NOT make her more relatable. You would never make me pay a male action hero character getting raped, or think that it was necessary to make it believable that he is a bad ass/hardcore.
Just FYI, there is never a time when I am playing a video game when I pause it, squint my eyes and think: "You know what this game needs? Rape. There is not enough rape happening on my screen." Even the monster-on-monster action in Silent Hill 2 (my favorite game of all time, barring Link to the Past and Legend of Mana) made me feel some type-a way.
In conclusion, I will let Donald show you exactly how I feel about raping Lara Croft (whether or not it is attempted or successful):

[Rick Santorum won’t stop at abortion. He is against BIRTH CONTROL… even for MARRIED COUPLES.]
…And he came in second last night. Guess what, Santorum? (Also all other GOP candidates and right wing Christians)America is not a Christian nation.
We are not obligated to live under Christian laws or Christian sexuality. If your faith tells you that contraception is wrong, then don’t use it. Likewise, if it tells you that non-procreative sex is wrong, then you have the right to only have stork-heralding sex. But, and this is a big one, you have no right, morally or constitutionally, to put laws into place that dictate the time and manner in which others have consensual sex.
Santorum is right, contraception is a license to do things in a sexual realm. But, of course, he is flat out wrong when he tells us that these things (pre-marital sex and not having babies, married or not) are “counter to how things are supposed to be.” There is no blanket “supposed to” because sexuality is individual, not national. We need to fight against boneheaded, oppressive politicians who think that how we express ourselves sexually should be a national discussion.
Sex is not just for procreation, but it’s fine if a person and their partner chooses to only be sexual for that purpose. But sex has many purposes, benefits, and results other than procreation, and birth control has various positive effects other than preventing pregnancy (which is awesome anyway). We need to keep tossing the lies that sex is only for having children and so everyoneshould abstain until ready for parenthood, back in the faces of those who would pass laws to this effect or demonize sexuality.
