I brewed BARAKO ground beans the way the ancestors of Batanggas did and I'm already palpitating after 2 sips 😭
(Btw, they just put the beans in a pot, boil the heck out of it, then scoop the coffee from the surface using their mugs. No expensive coffee complications needed. What I did was almost the same but in smaller scale. I had a tea pot with boiling water and let the beans settle. The entire time, the beans are soaked with the boiling water. Maximum extraction. I should prepare my last will and testament. I don't think the ancestors like my weak ass.)
