We’ve brought out some of our cutest chiroptera for Bat Appreciation Day. And what’s not to appreciate? Offering both pest management and plant pollination, these flying mammals are pretty amazing.
These particular bats are Salvin's Big-eyed bats (Chiroderma salvini), as illustrated in the Mammalia volume of Biologia Centrali-Americana (1879-1882) available in the Biodiversity Heritage Library.
I guess you could say it’s...the DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES. 😏🤘🏻🧛🏻♂️⚰️🎶
Have a great #BatAppreciationDay ! Simon's Cat didn't...
On International Bat Appreciation Day, we pay tribute to our winged friends. While it’s fun to link them to vampires as nocturnal bloodsuckers, most bat species don't indulge in blood-drinking. Instead, they play a crucial role in the ecosystem, dealing with various insect pests, including mosquitoes.
‘Harrowed World: What’s Past Is Portents’, our upcoming Dark Gothic Vampire Visual Novel, will launch later this year. It is available to wishlist on Steam, link in profile.
Make sure to follow in order to be kept up to date on development!
