Donna and Dick being best friends is so heartwarming and lovely etc etc but do you ever think about how much anxiety Donna might feel being so close to Dick Grayson, Thee Performer?

She is made of other people's memories of her, an embodiment of perceptions and then she looks at Dick- someone not just misunderstood but largely unencapsulated by most. He's got depths that nobody finds, that nobody (except like 3.5 people) knows even exist! Does she wonder if she was ever like that? Does she call him Wonder Twin and then wonder if she was like him once but nobody realized and she's been flattened to this half-realised portrait?

Does she look at Dick's secrecy and grieve that lost dimension of herself? Or does she see the loneliness of his charade, the weight of balancing on a pedestal he doesn't believe he deserves... and she wishes for him the gift of being exactly what everyone believes you to be?
