International Bat Night

Our nocturnal and oft-maligned friends have inspired great artists and craftspeople throughout history. 

Here are just a few bat-themed highlights from our collection.

Did you know that about 70% of the world's 1,240+ bat species are insectivores (insect eaters) and most of the rest are frugivores (fruit eaters)? Bats pollinate flowers and disperse fruit seeds, with many tropical plants depending entirely on bats to distribute their seeds.

Рей- очередной подопечный бэтмена. В поместье ей приходилось слушать пререкания между Уэйном и Тоддом. После смерти второго робина на время переехала к первому помощнику, дав Брюсу время побыть наедине. Старший брат долгое время не хотел брать её с собой на миссии и задания, нежилая подвергать девушку опасности. Но после того как она узнала о существование третьего робина, решила что ничем не хуже какого-то там Тима и самовольно пошла спасать Бладхейвен. Когда бетнайт самостоятельно предотвратила взрыв в школе, Брюс посовещавшись с Диком, позволил приёмной дочери патрулировать город.

Бисексуальна.

Она сшила свой костюм самостоятельно.

Последние два арта - первоначальные комиксные концепты, так Рей никогда по сути не была Робином, разве что использовала этот образ во время Хэллоуина, так как забыла свой костюм.

Из-за любвеобильной натуры Грейсона, часто ночевала в ванной чтоб утром не пересечься с возлюбленными брата. Из всех его девушек самой лучшей считает Барбару.

Как-то перекрасила волосы в тёмный, но разочаровалась.

Ray is another ward of Batman. At the manor, she had to listen to arguments between Wayne and Todd. After the death of the second Robin, she moved in with the first assistant for a while, giving Bruce time to be alone. The older brother did not want to take her with him on missions and tasks for a long time, not wanting to put the girl in danger. But after she found out about the existence of the third robin, she decided that she was no worse than some Tim and voluntarily went to save Bludhaven. When batnight herself prevented an explosion at the school, Bruce conferred with Dick and allowed his adopted daughter to patrol the city.

The last two art are the original comic concepts, so Ray was never really Robin, except that she used this image during Halloween, because she forgot her costume.

Because of Grayson's loving nature, she often spent the night in the bathroom so as not to cross paths with brother's lovers in the morning. Of all his girls, he considers Barbara the best.

Once dyed hair dark, but was disappointed.

On International Bat Appreciation Day, we pay tribute to our winged friends. While it’s fun to link them to vampires as nocturnal bloodsuckers, most bat species don't indulge in blood-drinking. Instead, they play a crucial role in the ecosystem, dealing with various insect pests, including mosquitoes.
