A Letter for Arielle

It confuses me when people leave, I don't like it, because internet friends are very difficult to maintain, what with none of us ever having actually met and such, and I think it's terrible to lose a friendship due to the unfathomable distance. If you leave, it's nearly impossible for me to do anything to stop you, and of course, I respect your choice to leave.  However, I have something very serious to say.

That we were quiet in your absence holds absolutely NO bearing on you as a person.  You are a wonderful human being, extremely sweet and generous, and despite you never wanting to believe me when I say it, that doesn't change the way I feel. I personally am going to be very sad that you are leaving because you leaving completely means I'll never speak to you again. I don't particularly like to Skype and i am so rarely on msn. Tumblr is my main source of contact with everyone here and by taking that away, I lose a friend.

Again, I respect and understand why you may wish to leave, but I'm still beseeching you not to.  Don't delete your blog. Simply log out, and so one day, maybe you'll feel like you want to come back, and you will, and it will be glorious. Because we do love you very much Ari. And we will miss you terribly, even if we don't say a word. Because that's just who we are.  We're internet people, and we love you from afar.
