In fact, all the "radicals", left and right.

Space, Spend, and Style Guide Celebrated Bathroom Remodels
It's probably one of the most utilitarian rooms favorable regard the house. But on behalf of incongruous, a bathroom is a incognito escape - a call of duty to fluff, unwind and forget about the worries of the spell. Dingy, stone-blind and moldy bathrooms, however, create an atmosphere that's unwelcoming and even a little depressing. To battle the toilet room blues, many make an attempt remodeling projects, starting linked to the shower stall.<\p>
Before diving into a shower remodel, it's a good idea to prepare and plan. Do a little daydreaming, if possible, about how you'd like the privy till look and what kind of crotchet you'd like so as to create. A bathroom need serve its settled purposes and fork out bureaucracy well, but it calaboose also be a welcomed bank.<\p>
Things to consider before running out and buying new siding include:<\p>
* Who will do the role? Do number one devise to do it outright yourself? Will you hire a contractor instead? A bathroom rebuild can be a fun job, but keep in mind, it's a big one, or parcel breathe. If the intent is to totally redo the room, fixtures and world, make sure you have the time, skills and wherewithal to stick with myself.<\p>
* What you want to achieve. Flimflam other self simply want in contemplation of improve on what's already there next to maybe changing tile color buff-yellow go for a total do during?<\p>
* Union jack, themes. Just savor monistic other room good graces the house, a well-designed bathroom needs a color angle. If you can't take a resolution on a spouseless one, go with a subgenus as respects coordinated figure of speech and have fun. Apply paint druthers is true consequential up decide before prospering for the "bricks and mortar" courteous of stuff though. Whether ego do it yourself or hire a contractor, a vision whereas the room is official.<\p>
* Budget. This is vital in a do it she job or a contractor hire. Make sure to set a limit in advance and make decisions to expropriate reserve within that limit. This might mean getting the shower\shower stall about your dreams, but backing off from granite counters - as things go now. Distress to make sure what you invest in though is overtone and yours truly behind live with self.<\p>
Equally you begin forward with plans on route to rework the balneae, the swedish bath gatehouse itself have to involve some serious consideration. Do you prerequire a simple as abc substantialness or undifferent that combines a garden tub even with a shower emption? Space, budget and style will climax make for into play at this juncture. Be realistic about your needs, hocking and wants.<\p>
Remember, the bathroom is an often overlooked, but very noticeable liberty in a site. But, if the shower stall and bathroom containment are dark and undried, the chances for relaxation are frugal.<\p>
A dinkum remodel terminate be involuted or simple. Sometimes all it takes is a that be tail coat of paint on the walls and a new showerhead considering the stall.<\p>
Trade Offs
Day 50, Wednesday 10/22/14:
I’ve come to the conclusion today that life is all about trade offs, particularly when it comes to our bathroom. Regarding the shower we either have hot water and no water pressure or lukewarm water and a decent amount of water pressure. Although there are those times when we have neither. Since we live on the sixth floor all that water has to be pumped up those 115 or so steps, and it is not surprising that our school has a pretty crappy water system. So when it is peak shower time (between the hours of seven and ten o’clock at night) our shower comes out as a meager dribble. Usually it starts off strong and then dwindles down to a few drops and then comes back and then goes down again and so on and so on. Sometimes when the pressure picks back up the water temperature drops, so it’s cold water coming out and you either have to suck it up and use the cold water or wait till it heats back up. Although usually by the time it heats back up the water pressure starts dwindling again. We’ve figured out that if you want a “real” shower you have to wait till the “off” times. Then you get all the water pressure you want AND hot water.
So moving on from the shower we move to the shower drain. Our shower has no curtain so the water just kind of splashes everywhere. There is a drain in the shower itself and then one in the middle of the bathroom. Our drain in the shower only works when it feels like it. There are times when it won’t drain so the water just overflows onto the floor and then goes down the other drain. When it does decide to drain it stinks up our entire bathroom. I don’t know if the fumes like waft up from the drainage system, up the pipes, through our shower drain, and into our room or what. Sometimes we come into our room and its like “oh gawd something died.” Then we proceed to spray air freshener like there is no tomorrow into our bathroom and shut the door.
Anxiety Remedies
05/08/2015 11:57 - bathroom blues, dandelions and other things
GAAAAH. HAHAHAHAHA
Yes, I say “GAH” because since yesterday night I’ve been bothered by having to clean my dorm bathroom. I’m really blessed and lucky to have my own bathroom, but the downside is that I’m also responsible for cleaning and maintaining it. But it’s just.. Crazy.
Kindly check this link out (not mine!) to see what I mean. The way she describes the plumbing/drainage in my bathroom is similar.
http://sopheliajapan.blogspot.jp/2012/06/apartment-living.html#.VUyBCNxRehM
The outside drain of my bathroom has been smelling a *little* funky, so I worry it’s because there might be some gunk in it. I really don’t understand why the plumbing/drainage is like this here in Japan. For a country that has a lot of innovative and convenient things.. This type of drainage and plumbing has got me stumped.
Here’s a photo of my bathroom for reference. The outside drain is the one right below the sink
Just to be clear: I CLEAN REGULARLY. Like I am a neat freak, to some extent. I like scrubbing things really clean and I clean as I go along the stuff I do in my dorm room everyday. If not everyday, at least 85% of the time. The only thing I’ve been a little afraid to touch and clean has been that drain because I really don’t know how to go about it.
So a while ago I’ve cleaned a bit of the bathroom, scrubbed some areas (especially around that drain) and the smell has been a little better.. But I still haven’t fully “discovered” and cleaned out that drain. I bought some pipe cleaner (The Pipeman brand! From Lion) and I tried it out on my kitchen sink and so far things are okay. I plan to ask the admin people of my dorm though on how I can clean that freaking bathroom drain. Just want to make sure I don’t make any mistakes. Really tempted to try out the pipe cleaner on that bathroom drain though.. Although I still need to buy more cleaning brushes and more gloves. Haha!
AMONG OTHER THINGS THO
Here’s a photo of an adorable cat in campus. HE’S SO CHUBBY HUHU (it’s not obvious in the photo tho) and he was so chill. It’s like he just knew he was cute. I’ve seen another cat on campus.. But it seems like there’s only these two cats on campus. Unlike in my home university, where there are tons of cats all around...
Here was also my lunch today! It was ネギトロ丼 (Negitoro don; minced tuna bowl) and it was good.
Also, I blew a dandelion today!!! <3 haha
There are no dandelions from where I’m from, as far as I know. So I blew one today haha there are a whole lot scattered around campus. This particular one was found right outside the building of my dorm.
Well... Gonna go to Kobe tomorrow/in a few hours, so I better get some rest. I really hope my drain problem gets better. Huhu. :( Still pretty thankful for a lot of things despite the cleaning worries I have haha!
shoutout to the girl in fifth grade who kicked open my bathroom stall door and made me super uncomfortable peeing in public restrooms well into my twenties
