I love cellar spiders. got 3 or more in every room of my house. they hang out where the walls meet the ceiling. they don’t bother me. I like to stand around and admire them.All my cellar spiders are the same species but they vary widely in size and color.
this week we had a cool new spider as a guest, different species. I found him in the bathroom. he has a square cephalothorax and short legs with bulging ball joints. He’s slow and twiggy like a cellar spider. I looked him up online and we think he’s a web-spitter. How cool is that? He shoots a zigzag of webbing out his mouth to immobilize flies to eat. Anyway, he got eaten by a cellar spider today. I love my cellar spiders but the big one in my bathroom tests my patience when he eats our guests
