i rly like the characterization of greev in the new hyperspace stories comic because it's finally very visible how performative is his "mwahahaha im so edgy and evil" persona

it's so obvious how much hes in denial and how much he HATES himself actually because he hates weakness. And more importantly he hates HIS weakness.

i know he's mentally not even there anymore, he just doesn't want to admit that hes basically already dead. that hes in fact weak. that he failed.

seriously this is deadass the most relatable character in all fiction to me. i know where it all comes from. believe me or not i KNOW where it all comes from, and it all came from the huk war. I've seen many people refer to the Prototype as a spider, but his bottom part reminds me more to an insect rather than an arachnid. 6 legs, segmented and rather long abdomen (instead of smooth and egg-shape). Have you seen a moth moving its abdomen? This part in the Wrong Side Out omv reminds me to that.

Now that I think of it, he reminds me to a mantifly, specially with his stabby tendencies xD

Although his bottom part is too bulky for that animal. The "rib cage" at the front also resembles a mouth to me? Remind me to a lobster for some reason.
