May or may not have discovered a thing in Ch 4...
So in the huge cavern room with the cages hanging from the ceiling, there’s invisible walls at the edge of the path to keep us from falling, right? Well, on the invisible wall to the left of the lever and across it, you can actually climb up it. If you press the forward key constantly while jumping, you can climb up to the top of the invisible wall and walk on it (you know you’re on top because you break through the “darkness” ceiling). You have to be careful not to fall off of it, though, because if you die, you’ll spawn in the Ink Machine room and can’t go back or continue the game, therefore forcing you to quit and restart the chapter (no, I totally did not die like 5819048 times, what are you talking about???)
But anyways, you can walk on the invisible wall and jump onto some of the higher things you can’t normally reach from the ground. (It’s kinda hard, though, because Henry’s jump was reduced significantly for this chapter). I’m thinking that this invisible wall thing leads to some secret. Only problem is you can only get so far on the wall before the game teleports you back on the ground or you physically can’t walk farther. But I’m convinced that it leads to something! Because theMeatly games takes their time with these things, designing everything with care. They probably know that the invisible wall has ledges in those specific places. There’s also 2 darkness ceilings: the one you can break through and the real deal that you can’t go through. Maybe that’s just a gaming mechanics thing and I’m looking too deep into it, but maybe it’s there for a reason! The game doesn’t stop you from walking on the wall, so it’s gotta lead to something.
Honestly, maybe it’s just a glitch. And if there is a secret, somebody’s probably already found it. There are thousands of gamers out there, most of them being better than me at these things. I haven’t really looked on YouTube for secrets, so I wouldn’t know if anyone’s found anything regarding the invisible walls. If anybody knows anything, please do not hesitate to respond or message me because this whole thing is eating me alive! I spent so much time today trying to figure out how to exploit this thing and find a secret!
