Another Surprise at College
Elena Gilbert had just started college. She had seen strange things happen in her life, but what she was about to find in her English class was even weirder. She was running late for it actually and it seemed to be a habit of hers. Since she been in school Caroline the responsible one wanted to 'party' and be responsible at the same time. A trait she managed all through high school. Getting good grades, planning all the school functions, and still being able to go to a house party with underage drinking. So Bonnie, Caroline and Elena were very active in the Sorority and Fraternity scenes. The difference is Elena couldn't keep up. And she had a hard time telling her friends. Why on earth would people go to a party on a school night. This isn't the same as High school. . Elena kept promising herself she would start getting serious. But she always failed. The English professor was never happy and actually hated her. Even when she wasn't late he'd speak up against her in the class. Tease her. Mock her. He was an asshole. He reminded her of Mister Tanner her high school history teacher that her now, boyfriend Damon Salvatore killed. The story with her and Damon was a long one, but being a vampire and meeting vampires certainly had long stories.
She ran at vampire speed knowing that even with that she wouldn't be on time. She opened the door and went to sit in the only spot she could find. To her surprise Kol Mikaelson sat next to her, but she didn't question why he was there. She knew Professor asshole would say something to her. Though that didn't stop him. He noticed her and made her stand up. Elena was frustrated and embarrassed. “Miss Gilbert is a prime example of not what to be in college. A partying, sleeping around underachiever.” It was very hard for Elena to keep her cool. She was about to snap. “Look Professor Dickhead. I have always gotten good grades, and I have a boyfriend to whom I am very faithful too. Maybe you should stop generalizing and believing in stereotypes. Just because I've been to a sorority party or two doesn't make me easy.” The class got pretty quiet. No one really dared stand up to the teacher. And normally Elena wouldn't but the sleeping around comment crossed a line. However her actions got her a few extra homework assignments. She turned to Kol and whispered “he's lucky he doesn't know what I am, and that I could tear him limb from limb.”
