Now onto my theory

Devil is the owner of the casino cuphead works in and the earring that he wears is sign to others that their are under his protection

The reason bendy has his is because his parent(or whatever) used to work for the devil but after a while they Started discovering something others didn’t want to be discovered and while they were afraid of they devil and knew they couldn’t kill them they went after bendy so his guardian give bendy the earring to keep him safe leaving him to fend for himself 

Bendy is unknowingly discovering the same thing so the devil ordered cuphead to keep him away from the casino (cuphead doesn’t know why exactly this is and is angry he has to keep him out)

To clear up some things:

1: Bendy is most likely a adult in this comic series- maybe a teen, Oswald is the same,

Bendy is just short (I think he is because he's canonically short in BABTQFIM and batim.) HE IS NOT A YOUNG CHILD.

2: I don't know their ages, but my quess is that they aren't under the age of 15 or 16. so if I find out that their age gap is too big to be shipped, I'll stop shipping this.
