Storing nickel tabs for 21700 packs – don't ruin them
Nickel tabs seem tough. But they can get damaged before welding.
Do this: ✅ Keep in original packaging until use ✅ Store in dry place (humidity = corrosion risk) ✅ Handle reels by the edges, not the tape
Don't do this: ❌ Leave uncovered on a humid bench ❌ Bend tabs back and forth (work hardens) ❌ Mix different thicknesses in same reel
Good tabs = good welds. 🔧
