we won't be here when the end of the story is written.

i didn't want to admit it and i don't think a lot of us do, but one of the hardest and most important lessons i learned in 2025 was that, in regards specifically to current events, that none of us will be around when the end of this story is written. we are here to fill the pages in the middle.

so my job is to live my best possible life while also caring for and helping those around me (loved ones + community) and being vocal in my dissent and anger.

my job is to step up when i am needed but not turn my entire life into a ground zero help desk for the destruction of my enemies.

my job is to use my white privilege for good and continue to educate myself and do the constant daily work of dismantling racism and white supremacy.

my job is to write stories and dance to music by people not robots. my job is to go to thrift stores and locally owned grocery stores. my job is to dance on the sidewalk and pick up trash if i see it there too.

my job is to vote in all elections, not just the federal ones every four years. my job is to know that voting is not a bandaid, just another step of civic duty that i perform because i want my country to be better than it is.

my job is to remember that the real enemy is capitalism and all her mistresses, not my fellow humans
