Bonnie and Bazh
So this painting has been in the works for like 2 years? The original drawing was completely redrawn and redone and then I finally decided to paint it!
Bonnie and Bazh are my two sweet modern fantasy babies and honestly they’re just the epitome of soft and sweet love and the original concept for this was for it to be a very romance book cover like 1950s style piece. Originally it was going to be watercolour and pen and ink but with my recent attempts at gouache I decided it would be better to do it in gouache!
I’m glad I decided to do it in gouache and it’s just another really sweet painting that probably took me around 9 or 10 hours to paint between today and yesterday and yes, Bonnie’s dress is based off of Teuta Matoshi dresses because they’re a dream.
Materials:
🍓 Arteza Watercolour paper (A4 cut down to size)
🍓 Tesa Precision Sensitive, Razor Sharp Edge and Low Tack Masking Tape
🍓 Himi Jelly Gouache
🍓 Talens White and Deep Gold Gouache Liquid/Jar form
🍓 Paintbrushes of no specific brand, mostly cheap ones i’ve got off of amazon + Arteza miniature brushes (really good quality, small detail brushes)
This is available on my Redbubble Shop as prints, pins, stickers and more!
(Note: Watermark will not appear on prints etc. Just to stop Art Theft)

The difference 12 years can make
I’m just going through and finally scanning stuff from my current sketchbook. This is probably my most colourful sketchbook at the moment since i’ve used a lot of marker pen and coloured quite a bit of stuff in!
Did we think I forgot about Bonnie and Bazh? My original babes? Because I have not, and I may be redesigning Bazh a little bit and perhaps getting rid of the mohawk? Anyway here’s a quick one of my sweet babes in love. I’m thinking about redesigning Bonnie and her hair as well.
Materials:
🌻 Helix Erasable Coloured Pencil - purple (these erase really well btw)
🌻 Zebra Brush Marker
🌻 Arteza Sketchbook + Softbound Moleskin sketchbook paper taped in
🌻 Arrtx Alcohol Markers
🌻 White gel pen
Drawing 3/366: A redraw of this post card of my boy, Bazh. I was never fully happy with the original, mostly because the face was too short for my boi and it seemed right over a year later to try again.
This beauty is up on my redbubble!

As of this year I'm going to try to draw every day, but I'm taking the pressure off. They don't all have to be full drawings or paintings. They can be doodles. It's okay to experiment and not like everything and if I miss days for whatever reason all I need to do is make those days up by drawing more on other days. Its about exploring and growing with my art. Not punishing myself! Feel free to do the 366 day challenge and remember it's about exploring and improving, not punishing yourself!
Finally scanned in the Mermaid/Merman drawings of Bonnie and Bazh! Prints, postcards, and posters are available!
Bazh’s picture file was too ‘big’ so I had to down size it apparently! Prints, postcards, and posters are available!
Bonnie and Bazh as merpeople again and in love as always because I can and because I love them.
