I heard her voice for the first time on the radio on an English military station and was totally thrilled. You have to separate the artist from the work to enjoy this extraordinary work. So @westcoastgal1 and @ffjj5 are very smart people and they got talking in some recent comments (thanks again skipping merrily anon!) about the July 28, 2021 BBC Live BTS performance episode. And also another interview which I will cover in Part 2 because I already know I'm running out of image space in this bitch. ANYWAY. The question at hand is: Does Jimin have a hickey in this performance? YOU TELL ME. So because we watch original content in this household for truth and context, I went and found the WHOLE ASS EPISODE and please enjoy it at your leisure and say thank you to the nice ARMY who loaded it for our edification and upliftyness and stuff.

After the Seoul interview, filmed months or a year earlier, and after the cool part with Son Sungdeuk, Dynamite starts at about 9:47ish and I just ... watched it. Respectfully looking at necks.

And you see the problem, right? It's the lighting. And the makeup. And the high ass collars. Like, there could be something there but those collars are throwing shadows all over the place and 7/7 Tannies look a little bit bruisey on the left because of it.

See? In-ear monitor mass plus wiring plus collar and lighting = if there WAS a hickey there we couldn't even tell. I thought I saw a thing on his neck at one point BUTNOPE HE MOVED.

IDK IDK, apparently we shall move right along. Next song, away we go: BUT WAIT. At 14:32 during the second interview, when Jimin is casually mentioning how he walked around London with his friends and a Jungkook

I honestly thought it was a shadow just there, above his SINGLE MOLE. I was momentarily flummoxed because Park Jimin does not have two moles in the same spot as evidenced by this:

And to be honest his regular mole looks, well... muted. Plus, if you look at the other shadows, they're less... purple. And to me, with a practiced stage makeup eye, it looks like some dermablend type stuff is working overtime. Sir. Button that shirt if you're gonna be out here like that, is all I'm saying, but I MIGHT BE DELUSIONAL RIGHT

OF COURSE I MIGHT WE NEED MORE EVIDENCE. Original content for what? TRUTH. And CONTEXT. So a little bit later we get to "I'll Be Missing You" and they singing and I'm just enjoying and kinda sideways looking and BAM 22:39

UH. THAT IS A FULL ON HICKEY. Here, I'll embiggen it for you.

It is what it is. That is not collarbone shadow. That is not lighting. That is not makeup, although you can clearly see the remnants of that failed dermablend-type-concealer the stylists or Jimin tried valiantly to maintain. And it does not escape me that every time the camera closed in on Jimin during this song, he raised his left hand to his in-ear in a very Jungkook "nothing to see over here" move.

Well all righty then, Jeon-Park gentlemen, don't get LOUD ON INTERNATIONAL TELEVISION OR ANYTHING. But wait. There's more! Because he don't need permission to dance but I am sure Jungkook routinely asks for consent, anyway:

They tried. The stylists really tried. They failed, but they tried. I think Jungkook is a whole Dyson of a man, probably took lessons from the Park half of the household, all I know is this looks like some "MOTS ON:E is coming out soon I need PAYBACK" Because this whole few seconds of the Jeon half flexing on that hickey is WORTH SEEING (thanks again to @westcoastgal and y'all take your asses to 26:35-42 and WATCH IT SEVEN TIMES FOR GOOD LUCK
