2/2 This factor immediately suggested the shape of an old BBC radio microphone. Of course, this is not like an amateur radio mic but it is immediately recognisable not only as a mic but as one associated with broadcasting, and so I all allowed myself some artistic licence. I also replaced the BBC initials with those of “Hancock’s Half Hour”, the original title of his BBC shows, though not for his 1961 series which was simple titled “Hancock”; again, another case of artistic licence.
