BBC Introducing: 10 years
BBC Introducing is celebrating its 10th anniversary so I decided to share this :)
The boys started putting their early recordings on the Uploader in 2010, along with a few words of intent:
They also revealed a few of their influences...
Residents of Llandudno in North Wales, they were first supported in 2012 by BBC Radio Wales, hosted by Adam Walton.
In 2013 the lads started to gain some notable fans, including Steve Lamacq, who featured Catfish as his new favourite band on 6 Music. Van joined Steve in the studio, they talked chemistry, drum n' bass and broken reverb pedals

On 24th July,2013 BBC Introducing invited Catfish and the Bottlemen to play Introducing Stage at Reading&Leeds Festival :)
Towards the end of 2013, Huw Stephens invited the band to the legendary Maida Vale studios to record their first national radio session

The boys kicked off 2014 with a return to Maida Vale for Radio 1's Future Festival:
On 24th May, 2014 Catfish and the Bottlemen played at Radio 1's Big Weekend in Glasgow smashing it at the Introducing stage :
After receiving their first plays on the station only a year ago, Radio 1 gave 'Cocoon' an A-List spot on their daytime playlist! Massive!
Bethan Elfyn and the Radio Wales team continue to support the band, as they gear up for another huge year in 2015

And when the time came, the boys stepped up and turned in a blistering performance in front of 14,000 at Earls Court and millions more watching around the UK on BBC One. They also won the BBC Introducing Award! HUGE
