What is House of Shade?

House of Shade is an online simulator of Big Brother. If you’re familiar with the show, it follows the format very closely. How is it played?

We communicate through the blog (announcements, twist, competitions). Also everything is submitted through the blog (Diary Rooms, Competitions, and Nomination Ceremonies).

Although we communicate through the blog, Skype is mainly where everyone will communicate. There will be a main chat (Living Room) where everyone is added. Once that happens the game will begin.

Competitions (HoH, PoV, and ETC) are posted to the Blog (unless they’re live competitions, then they’ll be played through Skype). You usually have 24 hours to complete competitions through the blog.

Nominations and POV ceremonies happen through the blog (unless it’s during a live double eviction then it’ll happen through skype). You’ll submit a nomination speech and/or POV speech depending on which one you win.

Every “week” you will vote through the blog. Once the votes have been received, we will announce who has been evicted and then they will be removed from the game.

Also, in this online version, we do a lot of challenges (much similar to BBCAN). Failure to complete challenges will result in the whole house being punished.
