up to ch. 82, which is the end of the main story: Jaerim is such a stable and coherent character through all the story, he cares and he's true to himself, he may assume, even assume wrong but he reflects upon it and then he manages with what is within his possibilities/abilities. And of course he's not ugly, he's the standard, the average (in comparison to how character beauty standards are usually represented in stories in our times, I guess) so idk, I feel like his curiosity makes him shine. The hair stuff (along with all the bullying really cruel, I get it, but still cruel. ((why people love to harass other people?!?!?!argghh)).
There's a moment in, maybe, the second half of the story, where he says to Yuri "I'm not your personal clown. I can't be talking about happy things all the time", when he's trying to connect with Yuri and does the cosplay thing and I fell in love with that line. he's there trying hard, putting the effort, tickling Yuri in various ways and that's so a mature line in a phase where they're defining their relationship.
