Ventus steps into the dining room with a yawn. It’s late, and he’s worked hard today.

He spots the oh-so-familiar dark-haired man and walks over, pulling a chair close and sitting in it, curling against him. The other hums, the sound rumbling in Ven’s chest comfortingly. He smiles, eyes already closed.

“What’re you doin’, Brain?…”

The question is soft and sleepy. Brain tenses, and Ven sits up to look at him with a small yawn. He freezes when he sees it isn’t Brain — instead, it’s Master Eraqus, gazing at him with that curious look — the same one that memory of a boy had.

“…What?”

“You called me Brain.”

Ven blinks.

“I did?”

“Yes. Brain was the name of my grandfather.”

And oh man, if that isn’t a nasty shock for reasons Ventus doesn’t understand.

“………Oh.”

“Why does that upset you?”

“I’m- I don’t…know.”

in kh, we know nobodies kinda look almost exactly like their somebodies. take axel for example, the only difference is one has those tattoos under his eyes. but he looks exactly the same.

xion, bless her, is a nobody, yet isnt one confirmed in 385/2, she's a replica of technically both sora and kairi.

we see ienzo and some other nobodies turned somebodies, and theres usually a difference, yet they still look like when they were somebodies.

now roxas is an odd one out. he doesnt look like sora. he looks exactly like ventus. which is odd.

maybe roxas is not sora's nobody like everyone assumed? maybe he's ventus's, as no one remembered ventus besides aqua and terra.

i could just be overthinking this tho, probably? idk.
