AN: I’ve basically took a few months off to focus on college. Now I’ve graduated and it’s the new year so it’s time to get back into the swing of things. Thanks for sticking here while I’ve bene gone and I hope you’re ready for some less than mediocre content <3
Because maybe he’d always felt something for you.
“Just how stupid do you think I am?” Donghun spat with a roll of his eyes.
“At the moment? Incredibly.” You retorted from your spot on the ground. “You’re the one that walked into a grounder trap.”
“Anyone could have done it.” Donghun looked everywhere but you as he slowly swung from the rope around his ankle. “Just cut me down.”
“If you say so.” You looked around with a smug look on your face before noticing where the other end of the rope was.
You walked over towards the tree, hyperaware of any other traps, and pulled out your handmade knife. With quick movements your cut through the rope and locked eyes with Donghun before legging go and watching his body crumble onto the forest floor. You walked over and squatted beside him as he righted himself. Donghun was mumbling to himself as he loosened the rope around his ankle and tossed the rope aside. You had a comment on the tip of your tongue about Donghun needing to be more observant when his body swiveled and you both froze. You were so close, a breath apart. Your noses would touch if either of you moved.
The two of you were acquaintances, having been paired off to go on hunts since Bellamy started the hunting groups. With the more interactions with Grounders and the threat they bring. No one was allowed outside of camp alone and you had met Donghun because of that. There were 98 other people that were sent to Earth and you had known a few of those kids but you mostly kept to yourself. Even though you were slowly getting to know the others you were sent down with, you still mostly kept to yourself.
It’s not to say that you didn’t admire Donghun in a way, he was clear-headed and focused. He kept the younger ones in line. He followed orders well but he wasn’t afraid to step up when he was needed. Plus he has his own small group of friends and they stuck together like glue when they weren’t fulfilling their duties. Donghun is actually one of the few people who had caught your attention early on and even though you’re a bit of an introvert, you felt yourself drawn to the usually loud and boisterous young man.
“Ho-how’s your ankle?” You asked, trying to think clearly with just how close you were to Donghun.
“It hurts but I’ll be fine.” He answered in a whisper, his full attention on you.
You took a moment to really look at Donghun before you. His eyes were bright but tired, with smile creases on the ends. His dark brown hair was messy atop his head and fell gracefully onto his forehead. There was a slightly shocked look on his face as the two of you locked eyes.
“Can you walk?” You ask only after you’ve swallowed your nerves twice.
“I think.” Donghun nods just a bit, his eyes darted to your lips for a millisecond.
“Here.” You swiftly stand up, creating distance between you two, and hold and hand out for him.
His hand is warm as it engulfs yours and he puts all his weight on the opposite ankle as he stands up. You attempt to help by tugging on his arm as his rises from the ground. Donghun wasn’t expecting the extra force and his body slammed into yours. His other hand moved to rest on your lower back and hold onto you so you didn’t tumble backwards.
This meant that once again you were close, too close. Every breath you exhaled he inhaled and vice versa, the air around you got almost unbearably hot. The hand he was holding was pressed against his chest while his hand rested just below your clavicle. Your other hand was fisting his jacket while your body leaned into his to keep your balance. Everything else around your faded as you stared up into Donghun’s eyes for the second time in mere minutes. You were sure he could feel your heart beating against your ribcage. But after a moment you could feel his doing the same.
“So, uh, can you help me get back to camp?” He spoke quietly, “I don’t think I can put all my weight on my ankle.”
“Of course.” You swallowed again before you let go of him and took a step back. “We should get back so Clarke can look at it anyway.”
You wrapped an arm around his waist and let him throw an arm over your shoulder as he leaned onto you for support. You did a quick once over of the area to make sure you had everything and checked that they few squirrels you’d caught were still on your belt before leaving.
The two of you walked on in silence for what felt like hours before Donghun spoke up.
“Thanks for that back there.” He started, “I know you wouldn’t have left me but I’m still thankful you cut me down so quickly.”
You hummed, focusing on the forest floor as you guided him back to camp.
“Can I ask you something that might be kind of personal?” He kept talking, his attention on you while yours was elsewhere.
“Sure Donghun.” You answered as you stepped widely over a large root and made sure Donghun could clear it before continuing on.
“Are things okay between us? I mean, we only talk when we’re paired off like this and I’d like for that to change.” You nearly fell over from his words.
You steadied yourself and kept going as you thought.
“Things are fine between us, there’s no reason for them not to be.” You replied easily, your grip tightening on his wrist ever so slightly. “I’m just not really a people person so...”
“I’m not either.” Donghun continued. “Let’s not be people persons together.”
“But you’re surrounded by people all the time.” You gawked at him as you paused at a log. “I mean, Jun is literally glued to your side.”
“Don’t remind me.” Donghun chuckled. “I adore him but he literally won’t leave me alone.” His tone was teasing. “You could join us, ya know.”
“Maybe.” You agreed after a few moments.
“I’m serious (Y/N).” Donghun’s teasing tone changed. “You’re very likable and I think you’d fit in with us pretty well. Even if everyone else is a little weird.” He smiled down at you.
This conversation had taken a weird turn and the way Donghun was looking at you left your heart pitter-pattering away in your chest. You kept your eyes trained before you in an attempt to ignore just how warm your cheeks had become as the camp came into view.
“We’ll talk more after your ankle is looked at Donghun.” You mumbled.
“I definitely hope so.” He replied as you helped him cross the border into camp.
You helped him get to the dropship which was the makeshift medbay and waited till someone came to check on his ankle before moving to leave.
“Wait (Y/N),” Donghun’s hand shot out and grabbed your hand. “Thank you again.” He tugged your forward and kissed your cheek.
You nodded before you bolted out of the dropship and around the side with your hand on your cheek. The action was so innocent and it could have meant nothing but your body didn’t care. And your mind started to run rampant with all the implications of Donghun’s actions on the way back to camp. You probably looked a little crazy standing outside with your hand on your cheek and the other hand gripping the flap of your jacket so tightly and a dazed look in your eyes.
“You okay (Y/N)?” Jun asked as he walked by, a mischievous twinkle in his eyes.
“Great.” You nodded before you bolted towards your tent. You needed a moment of solitude to gather yourself.

A/N: I’m in an awfully cuddly mood and needed to put the feels to good use. I’ll be working to finish a set of A.C.E drabbles then move onto SF9 (probably) and maybe start posting some Stray Kids too. (I sorta want to do a noona series for Stray Kids since I’m a bit older than every. single. member. is that something you guys would be interested in? Let me know!)
Because over time I grew to love you.
Being childhood best friends with Jun lead to you experiencing many new things as the two of you aged. He was the more adventurous of the two of you, always looking for something new to try, to eat, to experience. He lived for thrills. You were a bit more on the reserved side but you stuck to Jun’s side like glue. He was your best friend after all.
As time passed there wasn’t a milestone the two of you didn’t experience together. The two of you had your first dates together which ended up being a very awkward double date with people neither of you really liked. Much to your surprise in your first year of high school a dare from friends led to you sharing your first kiss. You started school together and ended school together, you entered the same community college due to the cost and it was easier to get your basics completed before moving onto your chosen careers.
You had watched Jun go from a spindly little kid into a strong and confident young man. Jun in turn had watched you grow from a quiet but wild wallflower into the boisterous and lively woman you are today. Somewhere along the way you had fallen into the trap that comes with knowing someone so well and intimately, you fell in love with your best friend.
You couldn’t even pinpoint when it had happened. Before you even realized it you noticed that the sunlight would reflect the golden flecks in Jun’s eye when you were out in the early afternoon running around. You noticed that when Jun would grab your hand to lead the way in crowds it stopped feeling like the hundreds of times previously and it started to feel new and exciting. Your clothes getting mixed up in the wash now sent your heart into override. Every time he asked for a bite of food with the intention of you feeding him you felt like you were under a microscope and became nervous but excited. Anytime Jun came up behind you like he always had and wrapped his arms around your shoulders to lean down on you or tell you something, it started to feel more intimate and personal, even if it was that he wanted to get sushi on the way home.
Living together did not help you try to hide your feelings. You always tried to remain normal, the only inclination of your change would be your heart rate that is if Jun even noticed.
---
“(Y/N)! The movie is starting!” Jun whined from his spot on the couch.
“Then pause it!” You rolled your eyes the previous fit of giggles still present on your face.
“I can’t reach the remote!”
“You’re insufferable.” You matched his previous whine. “If you want popcorn pause the damn movie.”
“Fine!” You heard him grumbling quietly but it was lost to the sound of the popcorn popping.
A few minutes later you plopped down on the couch beside Jun with a huge bowl of popcorn in one hand and two bottles of soda in the other.
“Finally.” Jun ogled, a smirk being held at bay. “I thought I was going to waste away.” He pinched your cheek and stuffed a handful of popcorn into his mouth.
“Just start the movie you walnut.”
You handed him a bottle and the two of you settled with the bowl of popcorn between the two of you with a shared blanket over your laps. As the movie played on you were focused until you mindlessly reached into the bowl of popcorn and grabbed a warm, soft thing. Your eyes darted over to see you had grabbed Jun’s hand, he looked as shocked but gave your hand a squeeze before moving the popcorn in your hand to feed himself. You suddenly felt like you were a live wire. Painfully aware of the heat radiating off his body, how close he was, and the fact that your foot was resting on top of one of his.
It had taken twenty minutes for your body to come down from grabbing his hand and you were able to focus on the movie again when you Jun must have decided to kill you. He motioned the bowl towards you, then moved it out of the way when you shook your head. He scooted over to remove any space between your bodies and threw his arm behind your head. In the same movement he pulled your head over to rest on his shoulder and he settled into your side. It took a moment for your to relax against him and you were sure he could hear your heart beating out of your chest with as close as he was. Soon enough as the movie was reaching its peak you relaxed and the heat of Jun’s body lulled you into a peaceful state.
The movie credits and the ending music jarred you awake. In the last forty-five minutes you had dozed off and tucked yourself into Jun’s side. When you looked around the dark room with bleary eyes you noticed Jun had slid down on the couch and you were practically laying on top of him. Things were too groggy for you to really realize what was going on.
“Jun movie’s over.” You groaned, poking his chest a few times. “Time for bed.”
“Will you lay with me? Bed’s too cold.”
“Sure, but let’s go.” You fought to get out of the blanket cocoon and turned the TV off leaving you in complete darkness. “Jun!” Your tired whine elicited a sleepy chuckle.
“Where are you?”
“Right here.” You waved your hand around until Jun grabbed it and pulled himself up.
“My room, bed’s bigger.”
“Sure, sure.”
Jun, sleepily and stumbling, lead you towards his room. He pushed his stuff off the foot of his bed and pulled his thick top blanket back. With his eyes closed you watched in the dim light as he took off his shirt and jeans and threw on a thick pair of pajama pants. Even in your hazy and tired mind you found yourself looking away when your cheeks flushed.
“If you want to change here.” Jun held out one of his long graphic tees that was practically a dress on him. “If you want to go put on your cloth--”
“It’s fine, thank you.” You quickly took the shirt and in the opposite corner of his room you pulled the large shirt over your head and down your body.
Before you could over think your next more, you removed your shorts and shirt and dropped them in a pile. In a spur of the moment choice you also removed your bra and stashed it between your clothes before turning to face Jun. When you locked eyes you saw his eyes a little wide even for him. You moved and settled in bed on your unofficial side and pulled the blanket up to your neck.
“Goodnight Junnie.” You mumbled, turning just so he couldn’t see your face clearly.
“Goodnight (Y/N).” His voice was soft as he laid down beside you, a warm hand resting on your cheek for a moment before he sighed and relaxed beside you.
Sleep took over both of you shortly after the little interaction.
--
When you woke up the first thing your brain registered was how warm and cozy you felt. You were enveloped in this feeling of peace and safety. As you laid there conscious but in darkness with your eyes closed, you just wanted to relish in the feeling because you had never felt it before. When you finally opened your eyes your visceral feeling sent you into a weirdly fuzzy shock.
Your head was resting on Jun’s shoulder tucked under his chin with you laying on your side body-to-body with him. Your arm underneath you was under his arm but your hand was cradling his head with his hair between your fingers and his head pressing your hand against the pillow. You other hand was clutching the fabric of Jun’s pajama pants at his hip. Jun’s arm that you were laying on was cupping the back of your neck, holding you to his body and his fingers were threaded through the hair at your scalp. His other hand was resting lightly on your thigh as your leg was bent and hooked around his legs.
You moved your head just enough to look up at Jun to see his face was turned towards your slightly and there was a faint grin displayed for you to see. You tried to move a bit but Jun’s grip on you just tightened. You felt like you were going to explode form your current position, it felt so personal and so intimate with the lack of clothing.
“I can feel you panicking.” Jun’s gravelly morning voice made your mind sputter. “Just lay with me okay?” Jun tugged you closer, the hand on your thigh moving to cup your knee and hold you there. “Ya know if you wanted to make this an every day thing I would not mind.” Jun mused, turning his head enough to plant a sleepy kiss on your forehead.
You were left speechless, the heat of your face giving you away. You buried your face into the crook of his neck earning a giggle from Jun.
“Is that you accepting my confession?”
“Of course, why wouldn’t I?” Your voice was quiet and muffled.
“I don’t know, I’m just glad you did because over time I just grew to love you so much.”
The noise you made was a mix between a squeak and a hiccup. Jun hugged you close to him, his face lit up with the biggest smile he could physically create. He was thankful his hunch was right and you liked him back because he had been waiting to do this for so long.

A/N: This is super short, shorter than even my drabbles but it’s straight to the point. I’m currently trying to finish up my online class assignments so I’m a little distracted, being a senior in college is tough kids. Pace yourself kids. I should be done with all my assignments by the weekend so I can get back to posting twice a day. Thanks for sticking with me <3
He’s pretty obvious, so you took the leap and thankfully he was ready to catch you.
--------
Chan knew from the moment you sat two seats over from him in the lecture hall that he’d have a hard time focusing in class. You took his breath away. You always looked so cute in his eyes, no matter if your hair was up or down, braided or not. Whether you were in jeans and a tee or a cute skirt and dress shirt. Not only were you gorgeous, but you were smart. You took part in the class discussions, adding to the lectures and bringing up points most people probably hadn’t thought of.
He easily became infatuated with you. Throughout the first half of the semester the two of you had conversations before and after classes, you talked a bit about assignments and the latest exam. On occasion, you talked about what both of you had done over the previous weekend and what your plans were for this weekend.
Chan had confessed to his dorm mate Byeongkwan the second week of classes how much he liked you. Causing Byeongkwan to formulate a plan so easy that even his nervous best friend couldn’t mess it up. As the professor reminded everyone of the upcoming short paper, he dismissed class.
“Uhm, (Y/N)?” You glanced over to Chan as you finished the sentence you were writing before closing your notebook and started packing.
“Yea Chan?” Your soft smile sent his heart into overdrive.
“Do you have time to explain some of the stuff from class to me today? I’m still a little confused.”
“Of course. Should we head over to the campus cafe? Or the library?” You stood as Chan zipped up his backpack and stood to lead the way.
“It’s still early so we could get lunch at the cafe while we study.”
“Psychology and food?” You giggled, following behind Chan out of the classroom and then moving to walk beside him. “Are you going after my heart?”
“Wha-what?” He stuttered, his cheeks flaring in the late morning sun.
“Because if you are that’s the best way to steal it.”
He glanced over at you to see a slight blush on your cheeks but your attention was forward, your hands gripping the straps of your backpack lightly. The light made your eyes sparking and slight breeze rustled your hair, blowing it around your face.
“Is there something on my face?” You inquired when you caught Chan staring.
“Yes, I mean no.” He shook his head, trying to get ahold of himself.
“You sure?” Your playful tone caused his head to jerk towards you. “You were staring intently.”
“Yes, there isn’t anything on your face, the light just made your eyes sparkle.”
Both of you froze. Chan had said that out loud and he felt the strongest urge to bolt, to run away and never face you again. You on the other hand were shocked, it was a bold but cute statement. Before Chan could do anything you took a step closer and grabbed his upper arm.
“If you’re going to compliment me after suggesting we go get food, you could at least make it a date.”
“A date?!” Chan choked, his heart rate tripling.
That was like five steps into the future, he was only suppose to spend some more time with you before asking you out on an official date. Byeongkwan had said a lunch date that wasn’t really a date, just two friends getting lunch together, was the perfect first step. Not you taking the leap and making it a date. Before Chan could completely go into panic mode his mouth was moving.
“We can make it a date, I’d like that.” He tone was so even he surprised himself.
“I’ve been waiting to see if you’d ever ask me out.” You tentatively slid your hand down his arm to hold his hand. “I’ve only been making it obvious I’ve liked you all semester.”
“I had no idea, honest, I was just trying to not embarrass myself in front of you all this time.”
“Even if you did, it’s really cute. You’re really cute, I’d overlook it all.” You hummed, focusing on the sidewalk in front of you, the cafe in sight.
“Hm.” Chan nodded, his heart was beating still out of his chest but only at double the speed now. “Good to know. Seeing as this is a date now, I’ll get us lunch and then you can explain these theories to me.”
“Are you going to be paying attention to my words?” You walked into the cafe as Chan held the door open and moved towards a booth near the back.
“I mean, I’ll definitely be paying attention but it may not be to what you’re saying.” Chan’s eyes flickered to your lips for a split second before darting back to your eyes, an innocent but mischievous smile on display.
“Yuchan,” You stepped closer, hand on the back of the booth, “If you want to kiss me all you have to do is ask.” You paused to watch his jaw drop. “I’d like the lunch special, number 3 with a sweet tea.” You nodded towards the counter and took his backpack from him.
“Ri-right.” He nodded, darting off to place the order.
You sat down and sat his back in the opposite seat, your cheeks hot to the touch.
“I can’t believe I said that.” You muttered to yourself, “There’s no going back now.”
You steeled yourself and started getting your notes out to try and explain the theories from today’s lecture to the cute boy two seats down who you unintentionally confessed to. In the back of your mind you really hope that by the end of the day Chan asked for that kiss.
You looked up to see Chan heading back to the table with a little plastic standee with a number on it and two drinks. He set the drinks down, then the number and pulled two straws out of his back pocket. You thought he’d sit down but instead he stood by the end of the table for a moment.
“What are you doing?” You chuckled, his face scrunched in thought.
“Can I?” In seconds you heard your heartbeat in your ears.
“Yea-yes!” You yelped, stuttering over yourself.
Chan smiled before he leant forward, one of his hands warm on the side of your neck. The kiss was more than a peck but less than the typical kisses you see in movies. This was new territory. There was hesitation but his lips were strong against yours. The little peck turned into two, then three before he giggled.
“Sorry I’m not very good at this.” His face was flushed again as he swiftly moved to his seat and took a sip from his drink.
“It’s okay, we’ve got lots of time to practice.” You mused, taking a sip of your own drink to hide your embarrassment from your brazen words.
“I like the sound of that.” Chan nodded, seemingly less flushed and a bit more comfortable.
“Let’s focus on one thing at a time though,” You felt breathless at how he was looking at you. “Theories!” You pulled your notes forward and started from the beginning.
You were hoping with ever fiber in your being that the nerves settled and you could really enjoy your time with Chan especially since you’d be spending even more with him soon.

For you he’d do anything, even deal with you 110% inebriated.

“Baaaabbeee!” You giggled, the vast amount of alcohol you had consumed throughout the night should have rendered you incapacitated.
“Just a second!” Hyunggu sighed, completely exhausted.
“Need help out!” Your giggles filled the quiet apartment.
As he looked at the clock on the wall and saw that it was just past 2am it occured that maybe your neighbors wouldn’t want to hear the drunken mess that was you at the moment.
“Okay, just please quiet down baby.” He heard your hum before quieter muffled giggles tinkled.
Going out for your birthday was his idea, he knew that. Going out with the whole group had been a spur of the moment decision as he sent a text in the group chat before telling you he was taking you out. The rest of your friends quickly responded to your boyfriend and freaked out gifts as they agreed on where to meet and what time. Had Hyunggu known just how drunk you would have gotten he would have encouraged you to dress in something less dangerous than your favorite stilettos to wear out in town. Which he ended up carrying as you clung to his back on the way home constantly giggling incoherently as you kept pinching his cheek.
He walked into the bathroom and saw you sitting cross legged in the tub the bubbles he had added had greatly decreased in the fifteen minutes you’d been sitting in the tub. He grabbed you packet of makeup wipes and kneeled beside the tub.
“Close your eyes.” Once you did so he gently swiped the wipe around your face removing everything but your eye makeup before he pulled another wipe out and removed your eye makeup with the utmost care. “Wash your face for me.”
“At the sink.” You made grabby hands for him to help you up.
“Hold on.” He trashed the used wipes and grabbed the towel he’d sat out earlier and held between his hands that were out to grab you.
You grabbed both of his wrists and pulled yourself, clumsily, to your feet and allowed Hyunggu to wrap the towel around your body as he tucked the end under your armpit. He grabbed a smaller towel and wrung out your hair as you carefully moved towards the sink. You with surprising coordination much to Hyunggu’s surprise, removed your contacts, washed your face, and brushed your teeth without any trouble.
Hyunggu walked behind your wobbly form as you left the bathroom and entered your shared bedroom. You happily and quickly slipped on your clean underwear Hyunggu had set out and opted to steal the hoodie he wore the night before falling off the foot of the bed before you crawled into bed. He took the dirty clothes and towels and put them in the hamper before making sure the bathroom wasn’t a complete mess.
He grabbed your hair brush sat behind you and started brushing your hair as he hummed to himself. After all the knots were gone he grabbed a cotton pad and your toner, which he applied all over your face. Your shocked giggles from how cold the toner was causing him to giggle too.
“If I put your lotion in your hands can you put it on yourself?”
“Yes.” You nodded enthusiastically.
Hyunggu was skeptical but he needed to get ready for bed too so he pumped some lotion into your hands and watched as you started rubbing it onto your face.
“Sit here, I’ll be back after I get ready for bed.”
You nodded obediently as he walked into the bathroom and left the door cracked. He mirrored your actions from earlier with washing his face and brushing his teeth. His toner was in the bathroom so he did that before walking out of the bathroom to see you still rubbing your face.
“Babe.” He mused, “I think it’s rubbed in.”
“Hmm? Oh.” You stopped. “I’ll do yours!”
“Alright.” He sat before you and let you rub his lotion onto his face, he failed at being serious when you planted a sweet kiss on his lips when you were done.
He watched you for a moment, your eyes were still bright but your actions were slowing. You looked so cute with your hair in the messy bun he had put it in before your bath and being swallowed by his hoodie. You were enamoured by your nails for a minute, apparently forgetting you had gotten them done the day before. The glitter polish was so fascinating for you in the moment as you were turning them around and watching it sparking in the light.
Even though you had given him hell all night with your drinking habits that came out around the guys and how his friends kept buying you drinks no matter how many glares he sent them. Even though you whined for street food the whole way towards your apartment and he ended up having your taxi driver drop you off at your favorite little hole in the wall place instead. Even though he carried you the rest of the way home after you ate and you sang obnoxiously in his ears. Even after you begging for a bubble bath and then crying after he prepared it for you because you didn’t think he could love you that much. Even now as you notice him again and crawl over to him and cuddle into his side.
There was no doubt in his mind that he loved you more than anything or anyone else in his life. He spent most of the night watching you like a hawk and he’d do it again just to see how happy you were being surrounded by him and friends on your birthday. All the memories made, whether you would remember them or not, made it all worth it.
He lifted your arm off his stomach and lifted your head a bit to scoot down the bed some to get comfortable. He stilled when you stirred and mumbled incoherently before sighing. When he thought he was in the clear, he placed your hand back on his stomach and let your head fall back against his. He let out a long sigh.
“Gu?” Your voice was small.
“Hmm?” He hummed, fingers threading through your hair.
“Thank you for tonight.” He noticed how sturdy your speech was now.
“Anything for you baby.” He kissed your forehead.
“I’ll repay you tomorrow.” You hummed, he noticed your eyes were shut.
“What do you mean?” He was genuinely confused and it being past 3am was working against him.
He jumped when your hand moved from his stomach and rested over his crotch.
“Okay.” He moved your hand back to his stomach. “I think it’s time for you to go to bed.”
You giggle made him suck in a breath.
“You will actually be the death of me.” He shook his head as you cuddled in closer, fisting his shirt and tucking your face into the crook of his neck.
You placed a little kiss on his neck before falling asleep. Hyunggu prayed that you slept long enough for him to forget that you just did that to him. After his heart slowed back down he fell asleep to the sound of your soft snores and quiet, even breaths.
Sitting in the floor of Hongseok & Hyojong’s room you watched forlornly as your boyfriend packed his suitcase. His group, Pentagon, was going on a tour around Asia, hitting many places on this side of the planet to promote their newest mini-album. You were proud of him and the guys, having know them all for two years now, you were actually estatic for them. They’ve worked so hard to get to this point and the only way to go from here was up, but it meant that Hongseok would be busier than he’s been recently.
“Can you not pout? Please?” He paused folding a shirt to cup your cheek. “It’s three weeks, you won’t even notice I’m gone before I’m back again.”
“That’s 21 days Seok, that’s 504 hours. That’s 30,240 minutes. That’s --” He cuts you off with a peck.
“I’ll miss you too.” And a giggle followed.
“It’s not funny.” You pouted even harder, crossing your arms over your chest.
“I know it’s not, but you’re so cute when you’re like this.” His smile was sad, but he still leaned forward on his knees to squish your face between his warm hands. “I’ll text you every morning and if and when I have time I’ll call you in the evenings.”
“I know you will. Thank you, but please enjoy yourself okay? You’re getting to travel so much! Have fun with the guys!” You pried one of his hands from your cheek and held it tightly. “I’m being a little over-dramatic I know, but seriously take pictures, make memories, and have a blast okay?”
“I will. I’ll send you so many pictures you’ll get sick of me.”
“I never could.” You gave his hand a squeeze and moved to start folding his other clothes to help. “I guess if we get this done quickly, we can just hang out until curfew.”
Hongseok nodded as he moved to finish packing. Fifteen minutes later of idle chat and folding and rearranging his things, he was almost completely packed. You were rolling the last of his sweaters and hoodies he wanted to take and putting them in between his bag of toiletries and shoes when the last sweater was one of your favorites. It was a deep red wool sweater and it was larger than what he normally wore, which meant it was even bigger on you. You held it in your lap for a moment really wanting to hold onto it for a while.
“Babe?” You called to get Hongseok’s attention as you was putting his colognes and skincare in a plastic bag.
“Hmm?” He hummed, pausing at your tone.
“Would it be okay if I borrowed your sweater? It smells like you…” You raised it up into his line of sight.
His concentrated, stoic face melted into what you can only describe as literal heart eyes before he nodded. His smile was soft as he took it from your hands for a second. He took his favorite cologne back out, the one you got him for his birthday, and spritzed it all over the sweater. Then he rolled it up a bit and slipped it over your head, kissing you when your head popped through the hole. As you clumsily slipped your arms into the long sleeves you noticed the lovesick look on Hongseok’s face.
“Stop it, I just wanted a reminder so I don’t forget you.” You scrunched your face in response to his.
“This is going to be a long three weeks huh?”
“It is, but we’ll make it.” You nodded, more to yourself, “We’ve made it this far already.”

He took young and dumb to a new level and like always you came to the rescue.

Yuto’s friends, which by default are also your friends, are a crazy bunch. His best two friends, Hyunggu and Wooseok, who were his age were probably the worst influences on him. Yuto in nature is quiet, even when he knows someone really well he’s just quiet. Wooseok and Hyunggu bring out a side of Yuto you don’t see with anyone else. It’s impressive, really impressive but it’s also terrifying. He gets stupid, he gets risky, and sometimes he gets into trouble.
So when Yuto said he was going out with the guys tonight you rolled your eyes with a teasing jab. “Okay, just don’t get arrested. If I get a call I’m going to strangle you.” To which he replied with a snarky but playful. “Yes mom.” Before he left to see his friends.
You’re all young, all in your twenties even your older friends. Everyone expected the staying out late drinking in groups, making causing havoc in the local parks or making too much noise out by the river. Young, dumb, and reckless in your twenties. That’s what is expected.
Usually that’s what Yuto returns home with stories of, like how drunk Hyunggu got once and it took both of his friends to prevent the young man from stripping down and jumping into a fountain in the park they frequent at 1AM. Or of how they went out of their hyungs and they all encouraged and then watching Hyojong get a tattoo of a smiley face on his ass. These situations and stories were usually funny, no one got hurt (unless you count tattooing), and it was all in good fun.
When your cell phone woke you up at 1:45 you thought maybe Wooseok was calling because in his hazy mind he couldn’t remember the passcode to your door and didn’t want to wake your neighboring apartments.
“Hello? Miss (Y/N), I’m calling about a mister Adachi Yuto.”
The gruff voice on the other line jerked you from sleep, and the speed you sat up made your head spin.
“Yes? This is her speaking. What happened?”
“Well, this is officer Kim, Mister Adachi is sitting here in our holding cell with some friends and I need someone who can come pick him up.”
“Has he been arrested?” You scrambled from the warm blankets to the cold outer world and shuffled to find appropriate clothing.
“No ma’am, he and his friends were caught vandalising public property about half an hour ago and because this is his first offence he’s getting let off with a warning. But someone still needs to come get him, especially since he isn’t sober.”
“Right.” You paused, already plotting Yuto’s murder. “I’ll be down shortly. Can I only pick up Yuto or can I sign out Hyunggu and Wooseok too.”
“You may get them all if you’d like.” There was a pause. “If they aren’t too much to handle.”
“Sir, my boyfriend and his friends aren’t too much for me to handle. Thank you for letting them off with a warning.”
“Sure, I’ll be here when you get here.”
The line when dead and you rushed to change into a pair of tights and a hoodie. You grabbed your keys, threw your phone in your purse, and slipped on your shoes grumbling under your breath the whole time.
--
Signing your name on the check out form for all three of your friends, you glanced over at them to see the regretful looks on their faces as they held cups of coffee in their hands. They weren’t saying anything, they weren’t even looking at you. The words you wanted to say were on the tip of your tongue, you wanted so desperately to tear into them about being stupid and almost getting arrested. However you assumed the officers who brought them in had done that already.
“Thank you ma’am.” Officer Kim nodded, checking over everything before nodded. “You kids are free to go, try to stay out of trouble okay?”
“Yes sir.” All three guys replied at the same time.
“Thank you again for not arresting them.” You bowed slightly.
“I caused trouble when I was younger too, I remember what it was like to feel invincible. But please, remember rules are here for a reason. Just be a bit more responsible okay? Have a good night.”
A chorus of ‘thank you’s and ‘you too’s followed before you lead the three out of the police station and to your car. The two influencers quietly crawled into your backseat as Yuto very slowly took the passenger’s seat. They moved slowly, carefully as if you were snap at them if they were too loud. You wanted to, oh how did you want to give them an ear full but you just sighed.
“I’m glad you didn’t actually get arrested, I would not have bail your dumbasses out.” You turned to look at each of them in turn, for the first time that night they returned the look, albeit much more reserved. “I’m dropping you two off at your own apartment.”
Wooseok and Hyunggu nodded, quickly agreeing. The drive was quiet, none of them knew what to say in response to everything and you, while you were no longer upset, just wanted to go back to bed and pretend this was a weird dream. You pulled up outside the first apartment pretty quickly seeing as they only live 5 minutes away from yours.
“Thank you (Y/N)... I’m sorry we drug you into this. Have a good rest of your night.” Wooseok said through Yuto’s open window as Hyunggu crawled through the window.
“Yea, I’m sorry too. We never meant for it all to happen. I guess we drank too much. Thank you for saving us from spending the night in the police station.” Hyunggu, in a last ditch effort to get on your good side, blew you a kiss. When you failed to react, he covered it with a cough and tugged Wooseok into their building quickly.
The rest of the drive to your apartment was just as silent, usually Yuto would have held your hand or placed it on your leg out of habit but his hands were clasped in his lap. He watched the scenery pass as your drove, only looking back when you had parked and turned the car off. He slowly gathered himself and waited for you outside the car as you grabbed your things. He walked behind you like always, his arm hovering just behind your lower back, as you walked to your building and input the code to get in. He stayed close behind you as you got to the elevator and got off at your floor. He waited quietly as you pulled your apartment key out and unlocked the door, discarded your shoes, and dropped your purse on the closest hard surface.
You were half way back to your shared room when he finally removed his shoes and set his wallet and keys beside your purse. He hung his jacket up by the door and followed your soft steps towards the bedroom. You were already back in your pajamas when he crossed the threshold.
“Shower, then you can tell me what happened.” He nodded, grabbing what he needed and going to the bathroom.
When he was done and dressed he found you sitting atop the duvet book in hand. He dropped his dirty clothes in the hamper and sat on his side of the bed, waiting for you to finish. You marked your page and turned your whole body to face him.
“I’m sorry. You can strangle me if you’d like to.” He smiled a little to see if you’d react.
“Don’t tempt me Adachi.” You rolled your eyes, a little chuckle escaping. “What did you even do? Vandalizing what?”
“Wooseok found some spray cans of paint and started painting on a old brick building outside the bar. We were just using what was left of the paint until Hyunggu painted a giant multi-colored penis on the wall. Wooseok had added “Suck it” around it. I was just adding some details when a patrol car caught us.”
“You almost got arrested” You had to pause, “because you were spray painting a giant dick on a wall?”
“It’s not one of out better moments.” Yuto shrugged, thankful you were laughing at him and not scolding him.
“I can’t say I’m surprised honestly.” You ended up doubled over laughing till tears fell. “I love a complete idiot.”
“I never claimed to not be an idiot.” You nodded along with him.
“You’re correct. I love you regardless but please, when I jokingly say to not get arrested take it seriously!” He nodded quickly, opening his arm for you to crawl into.
As you two settled in bed, his hand gently massaging your scalp. He cleared his throat.
“Just don’t mention this to my mom okay?”
“Are you kidding? I’m bringing it up first thing next phone call.”
“Then you can’t talk to her ever again.” He decided as he rolled over on top of you to distract you and despite you thrashing and giggles, he stayed there until the two of you fell asleep and he slowly ended up back by your side cuddling you close.

Sitting in the booth across from your boyfriend you watch him push his food around on his plate. He hadn’t said much aside from ordering and asking about your day, which to your answer he nodded along to whatever you said.
“Wooseok?”
“Hmm?”
“I saw a coworker get abducted by aliens today on break and when they brought him back he was blue, literally blue, like a smurf.”
“That’s cool, babe.” He nodded, his fork continuing to move his food around.
“Yea, the FBI showed up and questioned us for hours. They even pulled a men in black and tried to wipe my memories but I’m just too powerful.” You went on with the dubious story.
“I bet.”
You reach over and stopped his hand twirling his fork and set the fork down with your other hand. When he looked up at you, you noticed a little shock in his face. You laced your fingers with his and gave him a small smile.
“Is everything okay?” You watched something akin to panic flash through his eyes before he schooled his expression and smiled.
“Everything’s great.” He gave your hand a squeeze, “Just got some stuff on my mind.”
“Wanna talk about it?”
“Maybe in a bit. Let’s finish eating.” He looked down at your plate to see it empty with your fork placed carefully on top of it. “Oh.”
“Do you want to take yours with you? We can go for a walk.”
“Sure.” He nodded.
The two of you wait for a to-go box and the check, which Wooseok picked up even though he didn’t really eat. Then the two of you left the restaurant hand-in-hand and began walking around the area taking in the sights of the city nightlife. You walked in silence for a bit, you were trying to figure out if anything stood out to you in the last week or so that could have caused Wooseok to react like this. Wooseok was lost in his head again, he was running over what he’d seen online earlier that day. When Wooseok started to frown with his eyebrows pushed together you squeezed his hand again, if nothing else to let him know he wasn’t alone. The smile he gave this time was the realest you had received all night.
You were about to say something just to get him to focus on anything else when you phone played the tone you had set for your best friend. Wooseok nodded when you looked up at him to see if he’d care, so you unlocked your phone and opened the message. She was an avid Universe and had lost her mind when she found out you not only knew Wooseok, but had been dating him for the last year. She was also the first person to put haters in their places when they started harassing you after you and Wooseok were outed by fans last Christmas. Wooseok had only been debuted two months when it happened. Everyone directly involved took a hit, the media freaked out, most of the fans were accepting of your relationship but there were two antis for every fan, and people often disliked a younger idol being in a relationship.
Her message was in caps, ranting about people saying hurtful things and that it was good that you had locked most your social media and asking it you had seen it. When you sent back a quick response asking her what the hell she was talking about she immediately sent you back screenshots of people commenting on a fan account that posted pictures of you and Wooseok saying awful things. They were attacking you with the usual hateful comments about your face and your body, but what they were saying to Wooseok was a whole new level. They were attacking his rapping and singing, they were nitpicking everything about him saying he was the most untalented member of Pentagon, that he was the worse maknae. The screenshots only showed a few really bad ones but your best friend said there were too many to send. After texting her that you were with Wooseok and you’d text her after you got home you put your phone back in your pocket.
You stopped walking and watched Wooseok take a step before your hand tugged his. His eyebrows furrowed as he back pedaled to stand beside you. You mustered a sad smile before launching into his arms and squeezing him as tight as you could. He wrapped his free arm tightly around your body and rested his head on top of yours. Wooseok stepped to the side to move you two out of the way of other passerbys and continued to hold you tight.
“You shouldn’t listen to them.” Your voice was muffled, his sharp intake of breath the only indication he had heard you.
“You don’t need to worry about me.” His voice was weak.
“I always worry about you.” You tilted back in his arms to see his eyes glistening. “Seokkie!” Your hands swiftly hand his cheeks, thumbs caressing them in case he started to cry. “Listen, there is no one else who could take your spot in Pentagon okay? It wouldn’t be Pentagon if you weren’t apart of the group. You work so hard for yourself and your members we all see it and we all love and appreciate you. I know you can be a little insecure about your voice but you’re still growing and maturing and your voice will grow and mature with you. As long as you keep practicing you’ll always improve and soon you’ll surpass Hyojong.” You smiled at Wooseok’s embarrassed smile, the praise affecting his ears too. “You are wonderful Wooseok, you always make the mood better, you’re caring, and you’re incredibly smart when you need to be. At this point in my life you’re the best thing that has happened to me. Our years as friends, and these last two years dating would not have been as luminous and filled with so much growth if you weren’t apart of them. I know we’re still young but I love you so much already. It kills me to see you fretting over something and people who aren’t worth your time.”
“Nice monologue.” He chuckled, the urge to cry gone. “I really appreciate you, I wanted to say something but I” He grabbed your hands and held them down between the two of you, “I didn’t know how to bring it up, I didn’t want to ruin your day.”
“Lots of things could ruin my day, but being there for you will never be one of them.” Stretching up to place a kiss on his lips. “If you want to talk about it more let’s do it over some froyo.”
“It’s better to not dwell on it and it’s easy when I’m with you. But I’d love some froyo.” Wooseok, with a real smile and a skip in his step, lead you towards your favorite froyo place to go together. The atmosphere might happier than it was earlier.

Request: Yes! Heey, can I please request a scenario with Jinho from Pentagon where his girlfriend is taller than him and she is very insecure about it, or something like that. Anyway, I really love your writing and thanks in advance.
Length: short|medium|long|idk man
A/N: So I’m going to try really hard to not make this general because I’m literally 5′1 and 93% of people I meet are taller than me. However, I have a few much taller friends who have shared their struggles with me, so I hope this lives up to an expectations you had for this request. *sweats nervously*
Because everyone needs some comfort when their insecurities become too much.
---
You were taller than most girls you knew, albeit a few inches but still, you towered over many you met. Growing up it lead to immature kids teasing you, classmates always joking about you playing volleyball or basketball, people assuming you were much older than you were. It was just something you had gotten used to.
Over the years you had worked so damn hard to be confident in your height, in your body proportions. You had been working so hard to love yourself. Half the reason you were so successful in this life lesson was your wonderful boyfriend who never wasted a moment to make you feel great about yourself. Even though he was a whole head smaller than you.
Even though Jinho reminded you constantly that it didn’t bother him, that he had loved you from the start no matter the obvious difference. You still felt the crippling insecurity hit you quite a bit. The narrative that girlfriends were supposed to be smaller than their boyfriends, daintier, petite. You were none of those things. You stood tall, strong, and confident. You wanted to love yourself and love Jinho all in the same moment.
But when you were out together you told yourself everyone was staring. How could a woman so tall date a man so short. Really, anyone who took notice thought you two were absolutely adorable. But your past of getting picked on because of it lead you to assume the worst.
In the last few weeks Jinho had noticed the changes. You were slouching more, you were always wearing flats or slip-ons, nothing with any lift or heel. You were dressing in softer clothes and colors, trying to appear smaller. He noticed how you’d shy away in public sometimes, or if the two of you were out with friends you’d stick to the maknaes’ sides because you blended in better. He had noticed just how upset you seemed and he wasn’t going to allow it to continue.
“(Y/N)! I’m home!” Jinho’s cheery voice rang from the front door.
“Hi, did you have a good day?” You asked from your spot on the couch, turn your head towards him to kiss him when he greeted you.
“I did.” He paused, “But I’m soooo tired, can we cuddle on the couch for a bit and then order out? I don’t want to cook.” He pouted from behind the couch, his eyes sparkling as looked down at you.
You wanted to relish in the moment, Jinho was looking down at you and it made you feel really good for a few seconds.
“Of course.” You giggled, coming back to the present. “Come here.” You opened the blanket you had wrapped around you and Jinho practically bolted into your arms. “Was your day that stressful?”
“It wasn’t so much stressful as I was distracted all day.”
He pushed you down to lay on your back and he settled on top of you. He wrapped the extra blanket on the back of the couch around the two of you and sighed. In the next moment his wiggled to have his back against the back of the couch so he was facing you but still laying on you. He threw his leg over yours and rested he head on his hand as he looked you over. His free hand resting lightly on your stomach and tracing shapes between there and your hip.
“Why were you distracted?” You brushed his bangs out of his face and watched him watch his hand.
“Well, I’ve noticed a few things lately and I didn’t know how to bring them up to anyone. So I’ve been thinking about it all day.”
“What have you noticed?” You were genuinely curious.
“Why have you been so upset lately?” His words knocked the wind out of you.
“What do you mean?” You tried to cover your surprise as you mentally kicked yourself for being so obvious.
“Babe.” His voice turned stern. “We’ve been together for three years now, I can read you like a large print book.”
“Nice simile.” You joked, giving as much of a smile as you could muster from being caught.
“(Y/N), what’s up? You know you can talk to me about literally anything right? I mean, I know how you like your coffee. I know that you prefer to sleep on your stomach and only sleep with socks on if you’re not feeling well. I know what to get when you’re on your period, food wise and pad or tampon wise. I know so much about you I could write that large print book. Can you talk to me about it?”
“I’m insecure.” You did the equivalent of hanging your head in your current situation which was covering your face with you arm, your face hot with embarrassment.
“About?” His hand kept tracing shapes on your lower abdomen, his voice was still steady.
“You’re going to think it’s dumb.” You whined, peeking from under your arm to watch his chest move as he breathed.
“You’ve said a lot of dumb things in the time we’ve been together, whatever it is that you’re insecure over will not be one of those.” He assured you, in a last ditch effort to coax it out of you he pressed a kiss to your elbow that was closest to him and gave your body a gentle squeeze.
“I’m too tall.” The words came out fast and mumbled.
“Too tall?” You were hoping he hadn’t caught them.
“Yes, I’m too tall. Especially next to you.” You slowly moved your arm away and looked up shamefully at Jinho.
You weren’t expecting the love in his eyes, or the goofy grin he always had when you caught him staring. The hand that had been on your stomach moved towards your hand and laced his fingers with yours.
“Those words have never left my mouth, so where did you hear them?” He kissed each knuckle as he spoke.
“It’s been ingrained in me for so long so you didn’t have to.”
“Then let’s get rid of it then.” Jinho leaned over and planted a big kiss on your lips. “I love you so much. You shine the brightest when you’re happy and when your love for yourself outweighs you love for me. I don’t care that you’re taller than me. I don’t care what others may say. I adore you and our friends cherish you and we only want to see you happy. Besides, if only one of us can reach the top shelf and has to lead the other in crowds I’m perfectly happy with you being the one. I’ll follow you anywhere and I’ll make sure I don’t put anything too low.”
You don’t know why his words brought tears to your eyes but they did. You blinked furiously trying to get rid of them before they fell, but Jinho caught them all with his sleeve.
“Besides, it’s nice that you sometimes cuddle me like this where I can feel safe and at complete peace with you. Being the oldest out of our friend group is exhausting and coming home to being the little spoon every now and then is very revitalizing for me.”
You laughed at that point, you loved wrapped yourself around Jinho and just relishing in the physical contact. It was a huge comfort to you and it made you feel much better knowing it was the same for him.
“Plus, my badass girlfriend can totally beat up most of our younger friends for me. Who wouldn’t love that?” Jinho kissed you again and rolled a bit to lay more on top of you. “Nothing will change how I feel about you okay? Regardless of height, you’re perfect just the way.”
You let out a sigh as the two of you settled, feeling comforted by Jinho’s weight on your body. You felt much better getting your biggest insecurity off your chest. You were even more thankful to have an angel like Jinho in your life to keep you in check in every way. You moved a hand to rest on his lower back.
“Thank you.” You voice was warmer but still small. “Thank you for being there to bring me back up, I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
“I can’t let me sunshine disappear.” He groaned a moment later. “I’ve been around Shinwon too much, that was gross.”
“Agreed.” You laughed, “But it was still cute.” You relaxed and your breathing synced with Jinho’s and the show you had been watching before he got home becoming white noise.
