#Repost @we.eat.vancity I realized in going through the photos from @smugglerstrail Cask Fest that there was not a single picture of me with my beer 😂 so you can bet your bottom dollar I went back to Smugglers to get that picture! • Sparkle & Pop ✨️🌱🍻 5% alc. vol. The nose is all grapefruit upfront, with an aromatic quality brought in by the basil 🌱 it's different & hard to place initially, but beautifully complex. On the palate 👅 the grapefruit really sparkles ✨️ in the way that only grapefruit can. The citrus note brings a light and refreshing feel to the brew, perfect for summertime sipping. The basil 🌱pops on the tongue - herbaceous notes that subtley come together with the grapefruit in harmony. Each sip ends on a slightly sweet note, while the hops 🌿 linger. That moment where spring 🌸 rolls into summer ☀️ captured in a glass. • My favourite beer to date, though I might be slightly biased 😉 I don't know if there is anything that could top sipping on a beer that you helped create. • A huge thank you again to @smugglerstrail for allowing me this opportunity & to @mr.brewbatty for inviting me into your space and showing me the ropes. For Andina Brewing Company’s can designs we were tasked with expanding their brand world to capture the lushness and vibrancy of the company’s Colombian roots – a unique feature in the BC craft beer market. We created a two-part illustration to showcase the bounty and diversity of Colombia’s natural landscape, including tropical foliage and the iconic El Peñón de Guatapé on the left – as well as the country’s cheerful street life, with a guitarist and fruit stand on the right. We illustrated these luscious scenes without linework or gradients, using colourful shapes to emphasize the rhythm of the composition. Careful control of hue and saturation allowed the woman’s figure to form a strong centrepiece alongside the large stacked text, the Castilian beer name. We use a simple band of colour around the neck to help identify the beer style at a glance.

#Repost @thespillydrinker ・・・ Everyone else said no West Coast IPA brewed by @superfluxbeer in collaboration with @backcountrybrewing @boomboxbrewing @twinsailsbeer is definitely one of the best West Coast IPAs I’ve had in awhile, with a bit of haze to the body and notes of citrus and tropical fruit, this beer has a clean, crisp finish with a bitterness that doesn’t overpower. #Repost @thegirlwithbeer ・・・ Everyone else said no West Coast IPA (black label) brewed by @superfluxbeer in collaboration with @backcountrybrewing @boomboxbrewing @twinsailsbeer I’ll start by saying I enjoyed both the white and black label. The white label, not pictured here was a NEIPA while the black label was supposed to be a West Coast style IPA. However, as you can see in the glass, this was a bit hazy and definitely didn’t have that piny hop bitterness were used to with this style. It had notes of citrus and tropical fruit, a clean, crisp finish with a soft hop bitterness. Super enjoyable!
