He doesn't know how he ended up sitting at this major oil company chairmen summit. He's looking out of the window wondering how would it feel to fall from that floor. The window is made of unbreakable glass

I need an episode where Kazuki watches the Japanese equivalent of "Desperate Housewives" and rants to Rei about stuff happening in the show.

"Can you believe it? She just came back to the neighborhood after all the shit she pulled! With a man at that!

"Do you think our neighbor could've secretly killed her husband and buried him in her backyard and that's why she's so sensitive to my plants being too close to her side?" "...Our neighbor is a 84 year old woman who's husband died years ago due to an illness. Besides, your tomatoes disturb her petunias." Kazuki:"An illness?! That's what they all say! And what do you mean my tomatoes 'disturb' her petunias, Rei?!"

"Ohh, someone's getting divorced!"

"Rei! REI!! Will we still be together even if I get cancer? What will we tell Miri?!", "You don't have cancer.", "HYPOTHETICALLY."

I don’t have anything solid for a plot but here’s my thoughts on kazurei prince/knight AU (crossposted from twitter)

Rei is the prince. His grandfather took the throne by force and his father kept it by keeping the kingdom (relatively) safe, so Rei has been raised with the idea that a king needs to be ruthless above all else.

Kazuki is the knight. He was a poor orphan who joined the army purely to get fed, but distinguished himself through talent and dedication and not having any reason not to take risks. When he was married things changed, for a while, but he lost his wife to a monster attack. The knight commander took pity on him and got him what was supposed to be a cushy assignment - taking care of the prince. In combat Rei could take care of himself, and the rest of the time he didn't listen to anybody, so all his personal knight has to do is stand around.

Kazuki was the first person to realize that the prince doesn't neglect his duties and his health because he doesn't care, it's because he literally does not know how to take care of himself. Nobody ever taught him. He can look the part when he needs to but that's about it. (part of that is because every time Rei started to get close to a servant his father would fire them, but Kazuki doesn't know that yet.)

So Kazuki is pretty much Rei's personal attendant now. Makes sure he eats on time, bathes if he has to go out in public, stops training if he's visibly injured/exhausted. And then they go out into the field to fight monsters, and suddenly a lot more about Rei makes sense. All of his competence has been channeled into doing one thing very well. Kazuki learns something about himself that day too, which is that, wow, okay, the feelings he's been having for his prince aren't just an emotional rebound. There's a physical aspect too. Woof.

Luckily Rei doesn't seem to notice. Then again, who can tell what that guy's thinking.

What he's thinking is that he's pretty sure he's been in love with Kazuki for months now (he has nothing to compare it to) and that even if he knew what to do about it, he wouldn't. If he loses one more thing he cares about Rei is going to Snap. That he is 100% sure of.
