BDAY Deluxe Edition
1) Beautiful Liar: The very definition of iconic. The video changed the game of twins like I honestly could not tell the difference between Shakira and Bey in this video. They just work well together and I love the song + video. (10/10)
2) Irreplaceable: WHEN I TELL YOU THIS WAS MY FAVORITE BEY SONG BEFORE SELF TITLED AND LEMONADE, I’M NOT EXAGGERATING!!!!! I LOVE this song so much! It gave birth to one of the most known phrases, “to the left, to the left.” She was serving LOOKS in this video and I just LOVED it. (10/10)
3) Green Light: It took me a while to like this song. It’s good, but I feel like it wasn’t Bey in this era (or at all to be quite honest). The video didn’t have a lot of impact on me, but I L O V E dark hair Bey so much <3 (7.5/10)
4) Kitty Kat: I am so mad she did injustice to this video by making it like a minute long, like...sis... wyd??? I enjoy this song and this message 100%. When your significant other is acting up, leave with your kitty kat ;D (8/10)
5) Welcome to Hollywood: BITCH! SHE DID THAT! She invented singing fast in this song lol. This song is so good and I always imagine Bey, sitting on a table with millions floating around, with her legs crossed, staring at the camera at the end of the video (I visualize Bey videos in my head because I think of concepts) (8/10)
6) Upgrade U: OH... MY... GOD!!! This was one of the first video I made a dance to ;D I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS VIDEO! Literally EVERYTHING about this is perfect. The song + the looks + the icon + the video = perfection! (10/10)
7) Flaws and All: I cried when I heard this song + always got emotional. It was such a beautiful song + she SLAYED when she performed this. I would never dedicate this song to someone because it is so beautiful and I don’t want people to ruin it for me. (9/10)
8) World Wide Woman: W! W! W! Okay this song is so catchy!!!!!!! It’s the type of song you listen to 5 times straight and then not again for like a week, but it’s really good!!!!! (8/10)
9) Get Me Bodied [Extended Version]: aTHE SONG THAT EVERYONE KNOWS AND LOVES!!!!!!!!! It’s SOOOO GOOD and the dance was legendary! You could tell who is a stan by them doing the dance, even if there is no music. It just FLOWS through them. I loved everything about this song and video. (10/10)
10) If: OH MY GOD... “if you let him take me from you...” this song was powerful af, especially coming from her in this era. It sounded like something that fit better on DIL imo, but still managed to be executed amazingly. (8/10)
11) Freakum Dress: A BOP! You just can’t help yourself from dancing when it comes to this song!!!!! The video was EXTRA with the constant changing of dresses in different colors, but it worked for her. (8/10)
12) Suga Mama: One of my FAVORITE BDAY songs!!!!! Idc where I’m at, I will BELT THIS SONG OUT! She honestly scalped me with this song and she could be my suga mama any day of the week. (10/10)
13) Deja Vu: Arguably, the BEST Jayoncé collaboration. Literally everything about this song screams “get up and dance!’ Her body was PERFECT in this video, the vibe was EXCELLENT, the dances were spectacular. I could not find a single fault in this video or song! (10/10)
14) Ring The Alarm: I never knew anger before I heard this song, like she truly invented that emotion! The video deserves an Oscar from her superior acting. (10/10)
15) Resentment: Lord knows this song has a bitter taste now that the OTR rumors tainted this forever. This is an excellent COVER of a song and she 100% made it better. (8/10)
16) Listen: Everybody and they mama tried to sing this song, but inevitably failed. They don’t have the range or the vocal ability to slay like Bey and that’s just the facts. Accept it or not. (8/10)
Total: 142.5 / 160 --> 89% (So B+ rating from me) It’s a REALLY good album full of BOPS!!!!!!!!!!
Album Cover: 10/10
