Glares change with the seasons. They get all mossy and green in spring, grow fruit (glowberries) in the summer, get all red and orange during autumn, and finally lose all their leaves and go into hibernation during winter.

Glare hybrids don’t need to hibernate but they still lose all their leaves in winter making them look basically human. That’s why Bdubs is not mossy at the start of season 10 (< in denial)

Bdubs Glare

I made this after reading a rolling stone gathers no moss by qvill (I think they're @stalarys on tumblr) on ao3. I've read it multiple times and its so beautifully written. Tbh i don't think this is how he looks in the story, but it inspired me to make him look more otherworldly, and i had fun trying to figure out the lighting for his face! I HIGHLY recommend reading the story, its sooooooo good :)))))))

I've been thinking about Skizz's Limited Life deaths and how he was the first person in 3L to permakill anyone. And the people he took out of the series were Jimmy and then Cleo (and then he permadied). And that Jimmy was partnered with Scott and Cleo was partnered with Bdubs. And then come Limited Life and Scott immediately kills Skizz. And then Bdubs immediately kills Skizz. (And then Skizz died). And it is so funny and joking and no-one in-game is bringing up that once a long time ago in another world Skizz took out both of their partners. But you can absolutely see it as memories and patterns that were set down at the server's beginning echoing in later seasons or some kind of drive from the players' unconscious. But really it isn't, its chance, and it's just up to us as viewers to see this connection, these patterns, and make something more of the it, and truly the fact that this series just taps into a drive to make stories and patterns and put things together is why I will absolutely never ever be normal about it.
