Today I went on a bike ride to a park by my house. There’s a lot of things going on in my life right now and I haven't felt like I’ve had control over any of it. One of those things being that I went to the doctor today and some of the results I got weren’t the best and I needed to clear my head, so I took my bible with on the bike ride and sat by a pond and prayed and read a little bit. When I opened my bible, a piece of paper that I made last week during small group popped out at me. It read in big letters, “I AM”, and had words that I felt positively describe me as a daughter of the King. The first two phrases that I read almost brought me to tears. “Here for a purpose” and “Strong”. Lately, I’ve been struggling to know what my purpose is here on earth, because I feel like I am always doing something wrong and that in turn makes me feel very weak. The same two things I read on that sheet of paper that decided to be in the right place at the right time. No matter what grades I get in school, or what I think about myself, God made me exactly who He wants me to be and I am here to glorify Him and His kingdom through my own gifts. (Even if sometimes I have a hard time being confident in what they are). I am also strong even if I only ever feel weak. No matter what I am diagnosed with, I will be strong. No matter how many friendships I feel like I’ve lost and no matter how many times it feels like my circumstance is the end of the world, I can and will be strong. I’m hoping that through all of this, I can just use my experiences to help others that are hurting. If I can do that, it will all be worth it.
