In his mind, it probably seemed suspicious to them that Itachi would slaughter the entire clan but leave him alive, but in actuality, it was likely because they had their suspicious about the Uchiha Clan before all but Sasuke was killed, and didn’t know if Sasuke shared the same desires as the rest of his clan.

Sasuke didn’t know about that, though. In any case, he was aware that they were wary of him and generally avoided him, although not to the extent of Naruto.

“It’s not secret the majority of the village is hardly fond of me.” He said. “So I wouldn’t be surprised if you liked me out of spite for them. I also hardly see what’s so romantic about a one-sided ‘love’.” Sasuke folded his arms. “And if not, go ahead. Tell me WHY you like me.”
