//You write him very three-dimensional. You just don't go "well in fanon, he's always angry" and then make him a screaming, wrench throwing miracle worker. Your Ratchet feels very fleshed out and more true to the character; he's confident at his job, but knows he is not a miracle worker. He likes to have fun and sometimes doesn't know his limits. Your Ratch is a more 'human' character than a lot of the other Ratchet's I see. //OOC <3
//Aww! >///< Thank you~ When I look at G1 Ratchet tho, he did have times when he smiled and laughed but was also very serious about his job (like the time he puts Ironhide into stasis mid-sentence). I feel like he’s got that depth there already, it’s just well.. G1 |D
I think the only time he’s gruff is when he’s trying to get something done in a hurry and he doesn’t ask questions or make requests, he gives orders. He outranks everyone in his medbay and when someone is wounded in the field, when he needs something done he just expects the bot he’s given the order to follow through to the best of his ability.
This is war, but it’s not war all the time. No one has the energy to be angry all the time and I don’t see why that should be a character trait instead of a state of being. =3
