I love how vibrantly red beadlet anemone are... Or well, fun fact they themselves are not red, their color is due to symbiotic microalgae that live in their tissues... How interesting!

SOUND ON . Watching a Sea Anemone open and close as the tide laps it. The tide was headed out and I was lucky to catch a short video of this Anemone as it went from fully open, with tentacles out to closed in its domed form. . When open, you can see why they are called ‘Flowers of the Sea’. They aren’t plants, they are actually animals related to Jellyfish and Corals. I believe this is called the Beadlet anemone (Actinia equina). It’s very common in the UK.
