1. Beauty: She’s got the looks. From her exotic face and tight figure to her long hair and glowing skin, Heather has got the looks department on lockdown. You really can’t beat what she’s bringing to the table.

2. Style: Heather is a well balanced blend high fashion meets casual. She makes the right choices at the right time. She also does a wonderful job of not doing too much. Fay knows when to be high fashion but not too high fashion and casual but not too casual. The way she effortlessly blends the two and manages to always pull it off is fascinating. Im anxious to watch her style evolve and develop as her career evolves and develops.

3. Moves: Heather Fay knows how to move her body. As we all watched her seduce us with her look and voice in her music video the one we were all endlessly captivated throughout the video from start to finish by her moves. How she worked a garage door, dusty bench, abandoned warehouse mirror, and semi trucks we learned she brings even more to the table than what we imagined. I would like to see her pair up with other young fresh Choreographers like Teyana Taylor or DaniLeigh

Voice: We got a glimpse at what Heather’s voice has to offer in her internationally charted single, “The One.” She kept it smooth throughout the song while adding flavor with her sweet and buttery harmonies that keep you locked in. Towards the end of the song though, she took it up a notch… or two! She hit the high notes and runs with soaring power and really dominated the grand finale of the production. There was no way you could walk away from this song questioning her singing abilities. 5. Writer: If you look at the credits for her single and read her biography on her website here you’ll find out that Heather not only looks the part on front and center stage but she also IS the part behind the scenes as well. She writes all of her lyrics and harmonies and has worked on her catalogue with Grammy Award Winning writers and producers to help advance her as a writer and producer and it shows with the success of her first single hitting NUMBER ONE in Europe for several weeks in a row!

6. Producer: Heather has also been hands on with the production and has lead us to believe there is more coming from her on the production side of things. She has discussed this in many interviews and we are anxiously waiting to see what she has in store for us. 7. Engineer: Heather recorded some of her own vocals for the one and apparently plans on doing more in the engineering field wether it’s with her own music or other artist’s work we’re not quite sure however, this goes to show the wide range of abilities Heather has as an artist. 8. Plays instruments: Heather has been known to play the piano. According to her biography which you can read here she taught herself to play the piano as a child and played the flute in her school’s band. I wonder if she can also play the guitar? 9. Authenticity: Heather Fay portrays herself as she is. In her music she does not hold back from the truth and is very open in honest with how she is feeling in her lyrics. Not just in her lyrics but also in her image. If you take a look at her music video for, “The One” she’s not portraying herself as anything glamorous. She’s keeping it true to her actual journey. She’s “just a girl from Kansas City” and even mentioned that in her caption on Instagram when releasing her music video. I give her props for that no doubt.

10. Personality: Heather Fay is Heather Fay and makes no bones about it. Much like her lyrics and visuals she is very true to her authentic self and truth. She does not hold back or shy away from who she truly is and the things that align with that identity. As we’ve watched from her snapchat stories and instagram stories to her posts and captions she has a wonderful way of connecting with you without doing too much. Her personality is very well balanced much like the rest of her image. She is very realistic and down to earth which we can relate to but at the same time she is incredibly unique and very much in her own lane which is intriguing to watch and almost impossible to look away from. Heather has a way of always leaving you with just enough yet always coming back for more. She never divulges to much which I respect and doesn’t feed off of internet attention. It’s quite obvious that the attention is not what fuels her decision making, rather its her personality and determination to “do her” and stay true to her authentic self.

A Comprehensive Breakdown of David Lynch's Mulholland Dr. Part 1

Mulholland Dr. opens with a bizarre dance number accompanied by a somewhat exuberant jazzy number. While several couples appear on the screen, many of them are actually duplicates. Only a few different people are dancing. This starts the film’s theme of illusion and distraction. The style and visuals of the film often confuse and mislead the viewer. These opening shots are almost warning the viewer of this. Then Naomi Watts’ character, Betty, appears on screen. Some shots she appears with old couple she meets on the plane, and others she is simply beaming by herself. The characters are so bright, that details are not really evident. It gives the viewer the illusion that the characters are in a “spotlight.” Since Betty is an aspiring actress, it’s somewhat fitting. The film then transitions to a “1st person camera” of someone looking at a bed with ruby red sheets. Then the title Mulholland Dr. (the street sign) flashes along with a transition to creepier music.

Then the credits roll! The creepy, yet serenely mysterious music continues to play as we see a limo driving down a dark road. We also get a glimpse of the city of Los Angeles. The sequence plays out like a dream with shaky shots and inconsistent images (we see the limo, the city, the street sign of “Mulholland Dr., and the angles

of the limo often vary.) We then cut to a beautiful woman with a cold stare on her face. When the limo stops, the woman sems confused and angry. The driver then pulls a gun on her, as his accomplice walks towards her door. Before a conflict arises, a car filled with presumably drunk teenagers collides into the limo. The headlights from the car illuminate the woman’s face, and parallel the illuminated Naomi Watts from earlier. This suggests that these women are somehow connected to one another. It is also important to note that this film is about Hollywood. So it makes sense that this woman would be in a limo, as many of the rich and famous travel in this fashion. It also is fitting that a gun be pulled on her. Hollywood films often enhance drama by pulling a gun on someone. The drama is raised even further by the car crash! Vintage Hollywood!

The woman then emerges from the fiery wreck and seems very disoriented and confused. She gazes at the city lights of Los Angeles and begins to make her way towards it. As she continues her confusing journey in the city, we catch glimpses of two more street signs. First, we see Franklin Avenue. Why is this important? Well perhaps it is meaningless, and Lynch simply wanted to continue his theme of using street signs. Something to not is, “The Magic Castle” is located on Franklin Avenue, a nightclub where magicians can perform. It’s a members only club that also has dining and restaurants. The nightclub where magic is performed seems more than coincidental because our two heroines do end up visiting a mysterious nightclub of illusions later on… The second street sign we see is Sunset Boulevard. Several things come to mind with this. On Sunset Boulevard is the sunset strip, which is very famous and the home to much of the Los Angeles night life. It also makes the viewer think of the classic film Sunset Boulevard, about the murder of a Hollywood screenwriter. If you’ve seen the film, you know that similar ideas and themes are presented. This shot also represents how far this woman has travelled. Sunset Boulevard and Franklin Avenue are about four mile apart, which is no easy trek for a woman with amnesia in high heels who was just in a car crash. She finally stops at a house, hiding from drunken teenagers (wait who were responsible for her amnesia?) Completely drained, the woman falls asleep.

Cut to the crash site. Ambulances and police are on the scene. Two cops discover a pearl earing in the limo that doesn’t match any the present bodies. They conclude someone is missing. Obviously this seems moves the plot of the film along. The woman from the limo is no longer a secret; the police know she is missing. What is really striking is the banter between the two cops. It sounds completely unrealistic. In fact, it sounds like it came out of movie….
