Piper Bella Beaker is well known as Beaker’s younger sister in The Muppets franchise. She has appeared in many Muppets projects since she was a baby, her first appearance being “A Very Merry Muppet Christmas”. She was known to be a head strong and impulsive teenager, as seen in The Muppets (2011), Muppets Most Wanted (2014), and ABC's The Muppets (2015 mockumentary) who is outgoing and isn’t afraid to break rules. Her first speaking role was in 2008’s “Muppets: Letters to Santa” when she was seven, and is seen with Bunsen and Beaker, but mainly Bunsen when Beaker disappears with his new girlfriend. In The Muppets (2011), Piper, aged 10, is seen mainly with Bunsen and Beaker, but does not have many speaking lines, she simply stayed in the background or helped out with the show. However she was allowed to perform a tap dance routine with a few other Muppets by her side. In Muppets: Most Wanted (2014), aged 13, she is mainly with Bunsen and Beaker, and is often seen studying in the background. However, in The Muppets (2015), when Piper is 14, her story starts to unfold. In episode 2, Piper bursts in through the door of the meeting room of the studio, hungover, but also relieved to find Beaker, scolding him for not answering her calls. She gets sick, and is taken out of the room, where Bunsen and Beaker nurse her through her hangover. She reveals that she got into a fight with her parents and ran away by taking a bus from Pasadena to LA. Later that day after work, Beaker takes Piper back to his apartment. Beaker then receives a phone call from his and Piper's dad, who is really angry at Piper, as they had gotten a phone call from Piper’s school about her aggressive behaviour towards her classmates. She tries to defend herself and convince Beaker that she was the victim in that school situation, but Beaker however thinks she is lying. Enraged that he didn’t stay on her side, Piper sits in her brother’s apartment, sulking, and decides to get back at him for not believing her. She takes his phone and posts an embarrassing video of Beaker on Instagram without him knowing (which is Beaker getting wasted at a party). The next morning, Beaker takes Piper to work with him, not trusting her to stay home alone, and lets her sit in an empty office room so she can study. However, Beaker is pulled into Kermit’s office where he talks to him about the embarrassing video that was put up online via Beaker’s account. Beaker immediately guesses that his sister put it up just to get back at him (Beaker is just very smart, we all know that). He gives out to Piper, saying that he could’ve been fired because of her. The video is eventually taken down, but Piper is left feeling like Beaker hates her. The two get home later that evening, and talk things out. However, boxes filled with Piper’s stuff are sitting outside Beaker’s apartment. They receive a video call from their parents, saying that they’ve kicked Piper out of the house as they didn’t want to deal with more phone calls from her school about her behaviour, and until she can get sense knocked into her, they’re having her live with Beaker. Despite her relationship with Beaker growing, Piper continues to act out and be rebellious. However, after taking a break from acting, Piper returns in 2020 for Muppets Now, aged 19, and has completely changed for the better. Her hair colour has changed to red velvet, and she seems much more calm and content. In an interview with her and Beaker, she reveals that she has been diagnosed with anger issues and autism, but she has learned to be content with it, and is now thriving in college studying chemistry.
