Somebody to Love | Bear Goddess
Hera hadn’t wanted to think too hard about this. It was the first time she had been asked to dinner by a man since...well ever really. Zeus had been the only other person to take her out, as she had known him most of her life. Every date in the past had been one planned for her by either him, his family, or her family. And then she had been married. She had never really had doubts about the family plans. Therefore she had gone to each date, each meeting with a good deal of confidence.
But now...now it was a man she didn’t know very well, who she didn’t understand as she had Zeus, and she was scrambling to try to decide what would be best for this. Should she dress more conservatively or more suggestively? Would she even want to open herself up to jumping into bed with him on the first date? Hera hadn’t even thought that she would be dating again at her age. She had always hoped that she would have a family at this point. Instead she had gone through six different outfits. One far too conservative, one low cut dress that showed off her cleavage, and then something in between.
Hera finally opted for a dress that didn’t have the low cut, but had a more exposed back, and a zipper up the backside in case she did want to slip out of it. This way it was appropriate, but allowed for any direction that the evening might go. She finally made her way out of her quiet home, heels clicking as she made her way down the street and over to Alasdair’s place, pausing just for a moment to admire the exterior before she knocked on the door, a bottle of wine in hand, ready to offer to the man as he opened the door.
