...sky breaks open 

and cosmonaut falls 

he wonders 

will there be walls 

out past the orbital? 

too far too deep too fast

it all becomes madness

nothing but emptiness

houston, things are critical—

when suddenly, what’s this, 

he wonders

his back touches meteor 

his helmet fills with stardust 

now holding him is the wanderer

who cries a tear and sings a moan

there there, our cosmonaut whispers

with me, we can travel the ocean

for two can never be lonely.
