LIKE... THEYRE NICE SONGS I GUESS... BUT THEY DONT FEEL VERY IN LINE WITH FRUITS BASKETS STYLE AT ALL???
i think the big thing for me, and this might seem nitpicky but its true, is that both songs in furuba 2001 were sung by women. and since the shows lead is a girl and she is pretty much the single driving force behind the ENTIRE PLOT, i feel like having the ending randomly be sung by a man is a. puzzling choice.
on top of that i think furuba 2001 had a more sweet and fun approach to their songs, where the furuba 2019 ones are just, like. pretty, but without much heart or joy behind them if that makes sense? that might be a reach tbh maybe the gist is just that i liked 2001′s songs better LMAO
