Hi! I was wondering if you have thoughts on that place Aqua visited at the end of A Fragmentary Passage. It was a castle but that is all we got to see before the scene cut out. She sounded like she recognized it was was surprised. Then it is never mentioned in KH3. What was that???

The reason this doesn’t come up in KH3 is because this is actually addressed in a separate game. Initially, the scenes shown were meant to be a part of “Birth by Sleep Volume 2″ which was essentially going to be an anthology of stories explaining a few plot points in the lead in to Kingdom Hearts III. Unfortunately, Birth by Sleep Volume 2 never really got revisited and most of the ideas were either briefly featured in Re:coded at best (I see Riku hiding in that clocktower, an optional scene in the original Re:coded) or just never showed up (looking at you Twilight Town Kairi).
Aqua’s story, or the continuation of it, however, is one of the few things to actually release, it was a part of the Kingdom Hearts 2.8 HD Final Chapter Prologue that released a couple of years ago, and is labeled on the game as “Kingdom Hearts 0.2 A Fragmentary Passage.”
You can watch the entire game here, it’s about three hours total so it’s not too long. If you just want the cutscenes, you can watch them here, they’re only an hour or so to watch.
