Im going out on a limb here but hear me out. The Tachonis' are a sorcerer bloodline, how do you continue a bloodline? KIDS. Need kids? Need a mother. Where did Occtis' mother come from? Was/is she from another sundered house? Maybe she was even a seramai. But let me get to the point- I'm wondering if in the early days of their experiments, if she was involved. You want more powerful kids? Why not try to make the mother more powerful? And maybe thats why we haven't really heard anything cuz they did *something* to her that, hey, maybe even is part of the reason Occtis doesn't have powers. But, thats just a chaotic thought.
