Thaisha the druid saying "kill it" and Vaelus the Vengeance Paladin answering "i don't like hurting animals but okay!" is so funny to me
matt choosing the daredevil subclass after everyone’s been speculating since the start of campaign that he’d pick echo knight is so funny. he really said never let them know your next move.
it's right behind me isn't it?
"this is the trained scorpion of your cousin tertia" is NOT what i expected brennan to say right then
Emerged from the latest CritRole episode unable to stop thinking about the late Tertia Tachonis.
Did she volunteer to be grafted to an angel? Did she think she because of the effortless gifts of her House that she would succeed where the other subjects failed? Or did she have no choice at all?
In terms of narrative role, she's Iphigenia, a death that offered to beget more death, one of three siblings, sacrificed to a god (or the making of a god, in this case) so that her family can go forth and kill more widely. I Will Miss Her, her father writes, which Primus Tachonis certainly isn't writing about Occtis. House Tachonis actually feels her loss in a way it will never feel his. But still, she's reduced to her gifts as a sorcerer. Other than that parting line, the fact that she had that effortless talent for sorcery is the only thing about her that her father felt was worth recording. She is a worthy sacrifice, something that will be missed, because a god left her with something that made her worth missing.
She had a pet, and she raised it from the time it was small enough to need protection. It missed her when she was gone in a way perhaps not even her father did.
She's the fate Occtis would have met, if he had been the child his father wanted.
God, Alex’s acting during the Occtis + Primus flashback scene was so good. The way he swallowed nervously, the eye contact (or lack thereof), the stammering, it’s all sooooo good. 10/10 ripped my heart out
