Unpopular opinion: But as much as I am a big Arcee fan, I find she is used to death even more notoriously Bumblebee is. Worse yet, other than Elita recently, she is the ONLY female character who ever so much as gets seen. Transformers actually has a much wider cast of female bots than we know, but the problem is that they never get used and we don't even know they exist.
Also, I find that doing that hurts Arcee's character. She has been reduced to being a "Smurfette" in a very depressing way. She's expecting to be EVERY female, EVERY potential love interest, EVERY characters sister/mother figure and so on. She can not just be a character simply because she is always the one and only female that ever gets used. This is also why I think it's important for a cast to have more than one female character. It allows them to be multi-dimensional and yet at the same time, focus on doing them rather than being everything female, feminist, etc.
I'm not saying I don't want to see Arcee anymore. I just think we need to start allowing the other females to finally be rediscovered, seen and developed.
Arcee is awesome... but she should NOT be every femme. Let's ease the pressure on her.

Bad Dreams in the Night
That season finale moment, Optimus vs Megatron. I should have been hooked to the screen, but then Optimus made a noise and I got out thrown out of the moment because the audio was the roar of a bear, not an ape...
Despite me not liking Skybound Transformers, I am woman enough to admit that it did give me a lot of great idea for a Transformers story aimed at adults that deals with grief, loss and how sometimes, life's not fair.
The difference between Skybound's storytelling and mine is that while I accept that suffering is a part of life, it doesn't suddenly erase joy, love, pleasure or hope. Plus, karma works both ways. I don't believe that all of one's good deeds are for nothing and that while loss is tragedy, in some cases, it's also freedom. Plus, you don't have to carry everything on your shoulders. It's ok to accept help and have a partner. It's ok to not be invincible. You're allowed to cry. You're allowed to want a hug. Feelings and needs are valid even in your adult life.
