Worlds of Kingdom Hearts 2
Riku parallels various Disney World Characters while being Ansem
Riku in kh2 appears as Ansem which can be seen as monstrous and doesn't want those he cares for to see him in that state because he views himself as a monster and is in a forceful disguise where most do not recognize him.
Beast is seen as monster and doesn't believe anyone can love him like that: a monster
Mulan who is seen as different by society disguises as a boy: Ping.
Ariel who treasures human things and loves Eric becomes someone different to be able to be with him: a human
Note: to other mermaids a human can be seen as a monster so she becomes a human "monster" for him and it's also like how Riku had to become this monster to overcome Roxas.
Simba hides away while ashamed to face the people he once cared about; Riku hides away ashamed to face Sora after how he looks/ what he has done.
In Port Royal, the pirates are cursed as a different form unable to feel or eat as Riku is in a different form that isn't his original body.
Hercules loses his strength differently to how he usually is with full strength and makes him "not himself" just like how Riku is as Ansem. He also feels guilt from not being able to stop the hydra just like Riku's guilt from his past actions.
But despite everything to Sora it doesn't matter and he is still Riku to him and is able to love him despite how he looks. Riku eventually overcomes his guilt and is able to still be accepted even if it's more expanded on in future games.
Belle can still love Beast, Eric doesn't care that she is a mermaid, Mulan is able to be accepted as herself, Simba overcomes his shame and is able to face who he cares for, Hercules regains his strength and overcomes his guilt.
While working on my piece for the @twosidesfanzine , I also had the great delight of collaborating with @phoenix-downer for the illustration of their story "Be Our Guest" ~! I'm grateful to have had the chance to work together and am left with warm feelings~
Leftover sales are still open for the zine, catch one while you still can ! : https://twosideszine.bigcartel.com/
@khoc-week day 5 - Beast's Castle
I don't have anything specific going on in this world for any of my ocs, but I remember a post I made for a past edition with Aspis' Journal and how it's a collection of maps and sketches he and his team of explorers provide to other wielders who want info for later quest. the main illustration was the ball room in the Castle so i tried to imagine an infiltration mission and made some sketches out of it.
Special guest, his second in command, because Aspis is a good leader but has terrible social skills and needs a mediator when Lupe isn't around.

Sensational Scenery Semi Final 1
Beauty and the Beast (1992) Showdown
Pick the more striking scenery:
The Beast's Castle
Black Forest (Natural State)
Beast's Castle: Beauty and the Beast (1991)
It's very gothic. The statues and architecture that we saw when Marcie and Belle first enter the castle really builds up the dread and uneasy feelings about the place, as well as the transformation of the location once the curse is broken. It's an amazing transformation sequence.
Black Forest (Natural State): Beauty and the Beast (1991)
It's so briefly seen but it's so colorful and magical and it's stuck so deelpy in my mind ever since I first saw it as a child. I desperately want to be there
Devoured World Idea.
i kinda wished that during Aqua's journey through the Realm of Darkness, we could have seen more of the worlds that fell to the darkness thanks to the Heartless, like Beast's Castle, Prankster's Paradise, The Grid (in a World Within-type of situation), Symphony of Sorcery, La Cite de Cloches, Country of the Musketeers, Pride Lands or Land of the Dragons; and see how the Darkness manage to twist these worlds due to the corruption it has inside too.
Like for example, having the entire of Beast's Castle world being twisted like how the Shadow Stalker/Dark Thorn did to the Ballroom
Like can someone imagine the same but not just the Ballroom, but the entire Castle AND the forest too?
Like the area would be like the Valley of the Dark, but much more frightening. Like the Dark Forest in Dwarf Woodlands, but much more organical and shadowy. Plus this would bring a new type of Pureblood Heartless based on the Wolves of the film too. It could even be like a parallel to what happened to Belle's world in Mirrorverse as well too:
Stellar Magic has transformed the Mirrorverse world of Beauty and the Beast into a place where the woods and wilderness are savage and dangerous, and where all manner of terrifying beasts claim the forests.
It would be like that, but theses beasts would be Purebleed Heartless themselves, in their hometurf too.
I feel that the Mirrorverse's desings of Gaston's pelt would make for good Wolf Heartless designs, since not only would they fit the Realm of Darkness aesthetic, but there can be much more dangerous like the dark hyde, only this time there won't be bosses, but just a wolfpack of Heartless too.
I feel that an area like that would be called: Castle of the Dark, or Where Beasts Dwell, or a name like that to fit with the Realm of Darkness's nature.
