I've been on a binge of Beastars and what the fuck

Rant about the end of the series

okay so like the way they tackle an idea of people who hurt versus are hurt and the idea of prey and predator is one i need to dive into further because its a really interesting way to try and look at relationships between people, how propoganda forms our views of eachother and the strangeness of trying to come to terms with being diffferent and trying to live without knowing people or having peopple who are like you

but the choice to have it where Melon kills Legoshi at the end. WHat the fuck. Like i had hope that there was a view of not seeing violence as the end but what the fuck way to end the series was that? is it the end of the series because its supposed to be the last season and come on.

people have to choose their relationship with vioelcne, no matter who they are. why id it some shit to say those who walk the line are going to kill or be killed?

I wish Beastars S2 has 13 episodes instead of 12, so it could have a better pacing and Louis could be more fleshed out, but oh well.

There’s a high possibility we’re getting S3. I mean I am glad but I don’t want it to copy-paste the manga’s ending. I think, with proper adaptation and a little alteration on the direction, Beastars S3 could bring out a better closure than the manga.

My Wish for S3:

Maybe we could have 25 episodes, considering it has a lot to unpack. Instead of fleshing out side characters and exploring the lore of the world, we could use a more focus on Legoshi-Louis and Yahya-Gosha parallel. Melon could stay as the villain but he needs some rearrangements, so his arc -and everyone’s arc actually- could be more concise while still maintaining consistency. The last episode could use more work; I don’t mind at all if S3 develops its own original ending, as long as it has good pace and it stays true with the story. When we see Legoshi and Haru finally going out, I hope it’s not at the end end. We could have Legoshi and Louise reminiscing what happened, and bring out this scene from chapter 158 as an open ending.

TLDR; I wish it ends with “Beastars” as its theme. I can't believe I'm saying this but I want Beastars S3 to have similar treatment with The Promised Neverland S2, but better. A rearrangement of the manga, but with care, so it could end on a high note.
