Nothing is said by Tokoyami for a few moments as he looks at her, contemplating the words that just came from her mouth. It seemed that Ibara was one of the few people in Class B that he actually could get along with at some points, despite the fact he didn't hold the highest opinion of Class B thanks to the entire training session debacle that had mushrooms sprouting everywhere. But that was beside the point and it wasn't Ibara's fault, so that was neither here nor there and wasn't really a big concern at the moment, nor would it ever be with Ibara.
But, on what they were actually discussing, it had been more so in regard to Ibara's quirk, as Tokoyami had been curious about how it worked and the situations in which they would use it. Because, as far as he knew, she just used it to tie people up or put them into cocoons in order to keep villains, as well as other people from re-entering the battle. It wasn't a bad thing that she used it in that way, but it hadn't been something the rest of Class A had ever discussed, leading to the conversation and Tokoyami's curiosity. As it turns out, and just like with a lot of other quirks that he saw around UA, there was so much more to it than he actually knew about. Learning about the ins and outs of what the quirk actually did and how else she could use it was somewhat fascinating to Tokoyami and he didn't think that something that seemed so simple actually had a lot of good uses at the end of the day.
And, generally speaking, it seemed the conversation had shifted slightly to what they did in their mentoring, basically just going down a list of things either one of the two had experienced, as it didn't seem Class A talked with Class B much outside of training. It was a nice change of pace, and also nice to just talk to someone he knew so little about, but also had watched kick butt in person a few times now at this point. Maybe it would lead to more conversations between the two classes in the future, but Tokoyami had his doubts as everyone was focusing on training and getting better with their quirks and not the actual conversation side of a lot of things between the two classes.
❝I can't say I blame you for trying to ride that very thin line of morality,❞ he remarked with a small chuckle, ❝That can be hard enough to do as is, especially as a hero, but I like to think keeping an open mind, even as students, is good to have. While some may never see the use of doing something like that, I think there can be situations where it would be useful, like trying to actually talk to a villain on a more personal level... Well... before trying to arrest them, of course.❞
Despite all their differences and the differences between Class A and B, there was always a little bit of common ground between both classes. A lot of those similarities came from the fact that they were all trying to be the best hero in their respective classes and training constantly to be prepared for the threats out in the world when they eventually got their full pro-hero licenses. Because, as it stood now, it seemed each and every day was another step toward them reaching that goal, but also the realization that they had to do things for real. And whether or not the students learned it in class was entirely up in the air with things changing on a daily basis.
❝If you don't mind me shifting the topic again though, does your class still hold somewhat of a grudge against Class A because of all the fighting we had to do against villains a while back?❞ he asked and turned his head to look her way, ❝I imagine that wasn't something all of you let go of very easily, but considering it's been some time since that happened, I'd think it's more so just a rivalry now to get better as a group.❞
