Here is the clip for when Jared speaks about 13.21 Beat The Devil and how hard it was emotionally to stay in that headspace for him.

No one protects Sam like Jared.

He also plays the network politics well (not as well as Jensen, but well) stumbling over the words until he finds “terrorizer” bc he remembers CW never greenlit the SA officially - despite all the innuendo and screenplay that says gangbang (changed to hatebang) and rapier wit and so many other things. I’ll make a post at another time.

He took a downplayed arc and gave us gold. Because he never forgot everything Sam went through and honored that.

Some things I liked in the Spn 13x21 Script:

Sam immediately warming up to the idea because of Dean. Also this line from Dean in general, he seems to be more concerned about Sam trauma this season. Like how he gets more overprotective because the last time they dealt with the apocalypse Sam got tortured.

“Thousand Yard Stare”, “Shell Shocked”. PTSD language/terms being used to describe Dean and Sam’s trauma. I forget how obvious their PTSD coding is sometimes.

Them actually allowing Sam to get mad at Lucifer and physically attack him. I’m torn on rather I’m glad they didn’t include this scene since Sams trauma response around Lucifer is usually to freeze up, or if I’m upset because this would’ve been a cool moment for Sam and he never really gets to fight back against his abusers.

The specific highlight of the shame that Sam feels about the whole situation. Also the fact that Sam limping into the camp/after he got resurrected apparently wasn’t in the script, at least not in this draft. Thank you Jared🙏🏻
