Jack Kirby and Chic Stone draw Fantastic Four #34 (Marvel, 1965).
In FF #34 The Thing gets a Beatles wig as a gag gift. It shows up a few months later in Strange Tales #130 as he and Johnny meet the Beatles.
“Boy! Am I glad I saved my nifty little Beatle wig all these months! I knew I’d get a chance to wear it sometime!”
These stories were written while The Beatles were on their first US tour in 1964 with their iconic mop tops. And yes, Beatles wigs were totally a thing you could buy at the time.
Just in case you needed a dancing Jimmy Olsen in a red Beatles wig on your blog.
