how would ur ocs react if someone would give them a hug???

I’m assuming we’re talking about their listeners giving them a hug so here we go.

Emile: Ace?? Hugging them?? They be standing there awkwardly acting like they don’t know what a hug is. 100% going to be worried about them.

Rowan: Big hug, she is mom she’s best at the hugs 🥰

Beatrix: Picking them up, spinning them, lost’s are feet dangling like a cat being held up. Turns into goofy roughhousing.

Avyanna: Takes it as a threat and either flips majesty or is thinking of stabbing them.

Athena: Awkward pt2, does not know what to do. Might start crying.

Amanda: awkward pt2.5 (sort of awkward but does not know how to return physical affection) Returns it with a quick side hug and pats their shoulder

Sybil: Hugging chorus right back but is going to make them explain.

🐍 Snake friend! 🐍

Beatrix is a lamia oc of mine with a plot that runs parallel to multiple other characters in Byleia the main one being the Highbrooke Manor with Athena, Amanda, and Drew.

I’m finally getting back into my own ocs after the fanart summer I had (it was a blast) and hopefully I’ll be finally working on scripts for either the Byleia or another storyline (has yet to be named). I’m going to at least get season 1’s plot for Byleia laid out in a timeline this year🤞

which of your ocs do you think is your most self-indulgent one and why? :P

They’re all super self indulgent tbh, but Emile and Beatrix are fs is the most self indulgent. (I couldn’t decide just one 😭)

For Emile: I love drawing their nose, their mischievous lil evil looking face, and their fashion style is just such a fun thing to play with, red eyes are so much fun to render, I have way too much fun rendering red and or blue pieces it’s just such a good color! They’re so sassy and hard to take seriously so I can usually draw them without worrying too much about messing up :)

For Beatrix: Her color palette is out of my usual range I usually use but their hair is so pretty and I can almost always draw her in a flowy pose or she’s literally just that cute and I love her

For both: Their stories are so especially important to me, because of the struggles they go through and the importance in their stories of learning when to give up and why failing is so important for people. (I’ll be honest i project most onto these two but all of my characters have a bunch of stuff I think is important, these two are just extra important)

What flaws and negative traits do you ocs have??

I think I’ve done something similar to this before (found here) but I think it’d be good to revisit our main cast. I’m gonna go in terms of their insecurities bc we all got em.

Amanda: Her hands and a bit up her forearms are all scarred up from so much practice in the past

Athena: Her shoulders, her general build was a drastic change from her usual form, pre-turning into a vampire.

Drew: His voice, it’s very quiet and scratchy. He’d prefer to sound more clear cut and commanding

Avyanna: Her awkwardness, she’s blunt at times and misses a lot of social cues but that’s mainly (the tism)

Rowan: She worries she’s too overbearing, it has a long history of annoying people she loves but she truly does it out of love.

Emile: Their magic, in an offensive setting mostly.

Beatrix: Her hope, as silly as it sounds she often feels she’s a little too optimistic about things around her.

your ocs' ways of expressing love, to listener or others??

Aww this is fun, I tried to keep it simple but I love this question too much. :))💛 I left out some characters that aren’t the like main ones. The Highbrook crew has reasons they aren’t super physically affectionate and that will be revealed later but if they could they would.

Amanda loves listening to all of the rambles and rants, hearing darling or Athena be passionate about something, remembering it and bringing it up to watch their faces light up is her favorite. When she gets comfortable she might sit shoulder to shoulder with Darling and Athena

Athena is observant, so making mental notes about things darling and Amanda like their favorite flowers or something like that. She may or may not have made darling a mechanical pet just like Cadmus.

Bonus: Drew - will almost always bring Amanda and Athena gifts from his travels and once darling sticks around too they definitely get gifts too.

Rowan, oh my gods bringing food and her hand on the shoulder 100%, mothering Sunshine is instinctive at this point. She will bring them some water while they’re practicing, offer them advice if they want it but she likes knowing the people she cares about are fed.

Avyanna, her and majesty have an interesting dynamic at the beginning but her love is telling majesty about their surroundings, and how their actions actually affect their citizens and not just how things benefit their pack and fixing their clothes.

Emile is almost always flirting with Ace if not just for shits and giggles, but compliments and (if they could do it as much as they wanted) kisses on the hand. During meetings emile will almost always have their foot resting next to or near Ace’s foot under the table.

Beatrix picks lost up all the time, nerding out about stuff is just so awesome. She and lost shake each other by the shoulders in excitement and Beatrix loves sitting at Lost’s height (bc she’s a lamia this is possible) it’s not uncomfortable for her plus she gets to look at their eyes fill with determination or joy or whatever it is.
