Chapter 3: Getting to know you.
From the very beginning, there was an attraction. I was completely mesmerized by your bad boy, rebel type. You didn’t give a shit of what others thought and it drew me to you because I felt like you could be my protector-the love of my life.
However, in the very beginning you didn’t want a relationship. I somehow convinced you to be in one with me. I was open to learning of your darkness-being atheist and into all the dark metal music that you listen to. We had mutual friends and they all knew how opposite we were of each other. They didn’t quite understand why we were together because you were a very angry person which no one would want to cross. I loved the attention you gave me, how I made you different-devoted to me, only mine.
We traveled together, I got to know your family in Oregon (real photos of the past) for Thanksgiving and learned of your childhood, how you grew up on the farm. I grew a close relationship with your Mom and got to know your amazing family. And then there was traveling to San Diego meeting your brother and his family. Then we were able to visit my family and you got to know my parents and extended family. That was the beautiful beginning.
I trusted you completely. Blinded by love, I didn’t realize what was happening or your angry nature would effect me, effect our relationship. Until we had our fights especially when we drank.
