Hayley Marshall had been one of Pam's good friends for a long time. Way before they both became doctor's. Hayley was the only person at the hospital she knew before  she got the job. And the only person to meet Eric her ex husband before things went bad. Hayley was there when Pam miscarried and the two have been closer ever since. Pam knew why she went became an OB/GYN. Her personal experience with being pregnant before. She wasn't entirely sure if Pam's experience had anything to do with Hayley's reasoning. But Pam was sure it didn't and Hayley probably always had her mind set on the career. But regardless Pam has never asked her friend to nor does she plan to. Pam did know though that if she were ever to get pregnant again. She'd want Hayley to be her doctor. Actually Pam was thinking a lot about babies again. And attempting to have  one of her own again. In her mind wherever her  little one was, they'd want her to move on and wouldn't feel replaced by a sibling. She believed in all that. higher power. Places beyond us. After lives. And hoped that the child she lost found peace in such an after life. It was the only belief that held her together after her miscarriage. She hadn't  been in a relationship since Eric. And certainly wasn't getting any sex. But she thought about artificial insemination before. It sure beat going to some club and having a one night stand at an attempt to get pregnant. So that was her second choice. Adoption wasn't something she considered. She wanted the experience of pregnancy. So if she didn't find the one and have babies with him soon that was the route she'd take. Pam saw Hayley on the labor and delivery floor. She walked over to her friend. "So I've decided something. And as the oldest and closet friend I have in this hospital I thought I'd tell you first."
